TV Series

Never watched ER watched casualty and house and I’ve started a lot of medical shows but mainly give up on them! Greys anatomy first 5/6 seasons was very good, packed it in after season 6.
Not sure how you threw House into that medley of medical room dramas!

Finished watching Series 3 of Hidden Assets. Now that's the way to end a series!

Detective Hole on Netflix. Norwegian cop drama and watched the first 3 episodes and so far really good. Very gruesome in places.

Starting “For all Mankind” season one again and going through the seasons again, the one coming up is the last season so to Do it justice I had rewatch the early
Seasons again, Its so good with the spin on it all..
One of the best scifi series made just behind the expanse which was brilliant

I was having a think about why it falls away for me. I think for the first series, the action was the interest with small snippets into the character building. I was looking forward to getting to know the protagonists.

In series two, nothing has changed. In fact, I feel like the character building has took a back seat to the potential 'shock and awe' of the eps (mind you, I have a citizen I work with that has one of the bodily issues shown in the show and the design for the injury was 80% accurate).

For me, that's where 'ER' nips ahead of it as an overall show. I don't know any of the true motions for anyone in 'The Pitt'.

So, now, I'm only invested as I've put in the time as, to me, the show lacks balance.
Season two was way better but I enjoyed all of it.

Okay, that's fair, but what do you know about anyone, really? Usually there's 2 to 3 core characters we know something about. Here? Nothing.

So, as I was thinking about this the other day, but didn't post, is that supposed to be the design? As we walk into a hospital, the staff are just buzzing about and we don't know who they are.

If that's the case, why does the show reveal any snippet of the characters lives at all?

I just think it doesn't know what it wants to be.

Just finished Mrs Biggs on ITV X.
Has the excellent Sheridan Smith in the lead role, with the very capable dan mays playing Biggs.
Also spotted Phil Cornwell playing the hapless jack slipper.
What a story this is, told from a different perspective than we're used to.
Mixed feelings really, you can't go about robbing trains obviously, but 25 years was ridiculous in the first place.
Events then took there course, escaping nick then being constantly on the run.
On the one hand Biggs was a hard working quiet character who loved his wife and family, but if he got an idea in his head he became a selfish reckless self centred twat. He was definitely schizophrenic.
Shame it didn't cover the sex pistols period, when they made that awful embarrassing record.
Eventually he came crawling back to the UK for free health care, having spunked all his stolen money.
His misses on the other hand, whilst doing all she could to keep the family together, and despite going through an awful tragedy, managed to fuck him off and actually achieve something.
If you haven't seen this I'd deffo recommend it.

Season 4 is out
Are you sure?

Just finished watching the Capture which is quite a good watch but needs a lot of attention and gets very farfetched.

Just watched 2 episodes of Detective Hole. What a load of old pony. I remember reading a number of Jo Nesbo's books quite some time ago and whilst I remember the character as being flawed not to the level shown in this series. He makes Rebus look a saint.
I have always been a fan of Scandi-noir but this seems to fall far short. The holes in the plot become their own distraction. The fact that in his police role the villain drives round in a Lotus Emira would certainly draw the attention and resentment of his colleagues and also raise some questions as to his means.
