Hi
I’m Shiela/Eccles granddaughter I just felt I had to comment and say the family are absolutely blown away by the amount of lovely and heartfelt messages on here about her.
She loved going to the football and clearly made so many wonderful friends and a real city family through it.
Thank you all for sharing your stories and words - it’s brought a smile to my face (along with a few tears) to see that other people thought as highly of her as we did x

There's still time to see the blue light :)She’ll be laughing her little blue socks off up there at me as a united fan having to join the city forum to read the messages haha. She was very happy when I told her my son had decided to be a city fan and loved sharing that with him :-)
Great post. Your gran was such a well respected lady that i think we can all forgive you for admitting you're a united fan. Well i can, Michelle ; )Hi

I'd like to echo @Carlos- the- jackal here and to add that not only was she universally liked on here, a unique individual..... But to be as universally liked on BM as EB was, was in itself a unique.... very unique (as Barry Davies might say) achievement. As one of quite a few old school cynical, rough arse ,back in the day scoundrel blues who post on here i'm not afraid to say your post reduced me to tears, she'll be sadly missed by all on here, my sincere condolences to you and your family.Maybe a small comfort but she was universally liked on here, a unique individual in this place.

Similar reasons here, besides the fact of her being such a delightful lady.Being a blue born in Eccles I was drawn to her posts and she provided some comfort and fantastic support to the club and team, she did raise so many people’s spirits with her positivity and humour,a rare gift.
Sheila is an absolute legend on here. The grandmother of this family. We were lucky to have her.Hi

I couldn't have put it better myself. Sheila / Eccles post also made me chuckle and her love of Jonny Boulders.Like many people on here, I don't post often but spend far too long reading other peoples posts. Eccles / Sheila's posts always made me smile and wished I had the same level of decorum and class she always showed. I did worry when she hadn't posted for a while and then noticed the post in missing bluemooners. My heart sank when I saw this thread, and I did not know her, to me that speaks volumes to the impact she has had on this forum and the wider City family.
Rest in peace EB.
