Media discussion - 2025/26

The BBC have just announced that they need to lay off 10% of their workforce. Surely they can't in the future pay that **** Stone to travel around the world reporting on the rags' friendlies? Getting rid of Rooney would save a few quid as well.
This is my list of five recommendations for redundancy at the BBC:

Simon Stone / Dan Roan / Wayne Rooney / Claire Balding / Naga Munchetty

Ian Wright acting like Arsenal are 9 points behind on The Overlap, really weird mentality.

Not as clever as he likes to make out.
Will always remember him for being a complete twat whenever he played for Crystal Palace at Maine Road.
Continually gave the officials (especially Linesmen) a load of stick.
Narky individual who now seems to be seen as a character...

I find Packham very knowledgeable. You may prefer Michaela Strachan ?

As for the BBC employing the Step Daughter, an example of the Corporation at its worst, another small step into oblivion.
I can think of a hundred worse things that the BBC have done over the years. The step daughter is a very knowledgeable and competent naturalist who unlike many presenters on the BBC treats the audience as adults rather than hyperactive children. I can’t understand why anyone would have an issue with her.

It's not particularly her.

It is the way BBC employ people.

I, and many others would prefer the BBC, to advertise jobs, and then undergo a competitive, fair, interview process.

It may even find the paedos, and wrong uns during the process.

If the stepdaughter had been involved in a fair , competitive, application process, I doubt she would have been the strongest applicant.
