Seat Counters 25/26

And that is exactly the same scenario in our circle.
I have already posted that out of the 56 we took to the final only 18 are going to the semi.
Just out of our sample alone it was clear this was never going to sell out.
We could have offered everyone 6 tickets each and still wouldn't have sold the match out.
We do not have the fan base of Liverpool, Arsenal and those people from the piggery and we never will.
They were so fortunate to be the dominant teams at the time of football coming onto mainstream tv.
If there is a "question that needs to be asked" it's why our fanbase hasn't grown as it should, because if you take those clubs out of it, we've seen big attendance growth at clubs like Spurs, West Ham and Everton, and they've won virtually nothing.

The answer for me is ticket availability and also the club's poor image caused the poor atmosphere at home, the 115 charges and also the whole onslaught from social media.

Weren't you the once not happy with those of us that were saying these tickets should just be whacked on Open Sale to everyone from day one?
They were to all intent and purposes put on open sale on day 3, it has made no difference to sales.
The only thing I advocated was going through the criteria in the normal format.
They compressed the criteria into 2 days and then allowed everyone to buy extra, what more could they have done. ?

All Cityzens with 10+ points on their ticketing account

3 tickets Friday 17th April 10am
looks like they've just changed it to previously attended a game at the etihad

the club needs to ask itself why. we've got around 35k ST holders and over 100k members and we could still win a domestic treble?
Because they've spent the last few years treating their core support like shit. People would be shocked if they knew the true number of loyal blues who've stopped going over the last 5 years.

You can't turn all your loyal fans away and then expect Wembley to be filled 3 times within 2 months.

The 3 clubs you mention were far bigger than us in the middle 60s and were clubs that also benefited from the tv era.
All these clubs have always had solid support over the years and have probably increased their attendances, due to the new stadiums which allows them to get people in who were missing out at the old grounds.
Our fanbase has grown from the latter days of Maine Road.
Football supporters of today are not like supporters of our day.
That is not a criticism its a fact.
As I have said before, you can only ask the same people to go to the well,so many times

I think we're in a strange position where our fanbase worldwide is undeniably growing massively, however our local fanbase seems to be shrinking. Unfortunately for the club, the local fanbase are the ones that sell out stadiums.

If they care in the slightest, they need to think long and hard about their Pricing/Ticketing strategy over the next few years

I'm not sure the 115 case or the negativity on social media - and the wider media - is too significant a factor. Ticketing policies trump both those things for me - I do think the fanbase has increased a lot but it's getting those fans into the stadium that is perhaps the issue. Also, a lot of the older generation have stopped going and perhaps not enough match going fans are taking their place.

Why only 3 and why not open sale, I used to get another half a dozen people to come to these type of games but I lost interest in helping when the club lost interest in helping me

Totally agree mate. And for the thousandth time, the chance they had to reset the entire club culture with the new stand which seems have just been pissed away.

I saw a Chelsea page yesterday where they rate away fans and they rated us as the loudest and best English fans at their stadium this year. The comments were full of people agreeing, and then commenting on the difference at home. And the difference is simple: those 3,000 away fans are split ocer 3 areas and that accounts for the difference.

Anyway, i digress. Sorry.

How many did we sell for forest last year?
Logic dictates it will be less than that.

- recent Wembley trip
- additional Wembley fatigue
- playing a worse team (in theory) so less attractive game and higher chance of getting ther again for the final.

We've always had a huge support locally, but the damage that's been done to that local support over the last few years is undeniable.

I feel like we've been saying this for years now, but they have no long term strategy whatsoever, and the new North Stand is the absolute epitome of this.

I was at Chelsea and they had pockets of empty seats and it was the quietest I have ever heard it there and have done every trip there for 30 years, used to be a very lively dy out
Right quick update.

L1: 3,764
L2: 514
L5: 2,216

Total Left: 6,494 (+ Whatever isn't on sale, I think about 7,000)

That's about 400 sold so far today.

It’s far less than 7000, nearer 6000, the block on the corner are nearer 700 each in them and the last block is much smaller due to the commentary box and segregation

Apparently 27000, but that was a Sunday. We sold 37000 v Chelsea on a Saturday, 34000 v Sheffield utd on a Saturday, and 33000 v Liverpool on a saturday

Solution is simple , die hard fans who purchased semi final ticket should get automatic first dibs at a final ticket (regardless of points/ membership/season tickets osc), 33k tickets for semi final are allocated to City for semi finals but only 23k will be allocated for final if we get there. They would sell out by tomorrow
