25 | Gianluigi Donnarumma - 2025/26

You are utterly clueless. Feel sory for you.
Okay mate, looking forward to when you are on here lecturing people on why it is sensible to sell him in 2 years time when we have decided we finally need someone that can progress us up the pitch better. People like you cant fucking think for yourself, probably quoting Pep next on how it is our defence fault that Donna hardly ever can fucking angle a pass out correctly and that he is actually really good at it. Hint; Trafford does it perfectly with the same defenders and Donna would not have resorted to fucking hoofing it in the 2nd half today if Pep actually rated him on the ball. It didn't come back quite as often today because we played bloody well and regaining posession, but we have paid the price for it many times this season.

But yeah, you know so much about football. Everything is perfect when we win, so can't complain. Bet you have criticised the likes of Rodri, Mahrez and Savinho over the years when the rest of the forum did.

I predicted Rodri will be better than Fernandinho when some were calling him Plodri. I defended many of our most criticised players, Gundo, Mahrez, Nunes...

Calm down now.

There are tread-offs with any player, even with Haaland who I think is the best pure striker in PL history.

Donna makes incredible saves that keep us in games. But isn't good on the ball. Ederson was the best on the ball but didn't make many great saves. Tradeoffs. We'll be fine with Donna. You will like him too.

That error was piss poor. Not that he made it, but he almost made it a few mins earlier too(went out for a corner).

I’m a big fan but on a day like today that inexcusable and we are lucky it didn’t bite us.

Needs to focus. Big weeks ahead

Didn't fall to pieces as many would in that scenario, all credit to him for that. Made a very important save second half too.

Those people that still don't think Donnarumma hinders our build up massively surely cannot have the same opinion after today, night and day in our build up from the cup final, with the keeper the only difference.

Too late to drop him now as some are suggesting, that chance was there for the chelsea game where you can pass it off as a reward for Traffords great displays rather than dropping your number 1, potential to do that if Trafford has a good game in the FA cup semi final, but bringing him in now with the stakes this high isn't a wise choice.

Have to stick with him and hope he is lifting a title in May. Then we have got to have a serious think in the summer about Trafford as our future.

It really is utterly fascinating how one can be such an elite shot stopper but absolutely shite at near every other aspect of goalkeeping. Tremendously passionate, I'll give him that

Fair. We were both in the trenches about Rodri, I always saw him as a great as well. We disagree about Donna, I agree about tradeoffs I just think the tradeoff woth Donna is too vast. If we had him over Ederson these last 10 years we would not have dominated the way we did. On the other hand he could maybe have saved us on a couole of occasions, maybe won us a few knockout-ties. We can win the league with him this year but I personally want us to build around a goalkeeper that facilitates us playing the style of play the team is built for.

We can agree to disagree but no need to call me an imbecile

He's made atleast 3 mistakes that I can recall without needing to check as they're still vivid in my mind.

1. Real Madrid away
2. West Ham away
3. Arsenal at home

I just don't feel like arguing anymore since everyone's mind is made up. I just hope the Club makes the right call going forward because I seriously rate Trafford higher, especially in our system!

I take it you somehow missed our winning goal

Ok people are entrenched in their view and wont' change.
I can accept that.

But there's a bigger question that needs answering..

And that question is about Trafford.

Do you think if City let him go, it will be a bigger mistake than letting Julian Alvarez go?

That's the real question isn't it?
That question pre-supposed it actually was a mistake. We got >80 mill for Alvarez. He's a decent striker but worth nowhere near that much

Don’t think you upset the cart by dropping him.

We kind of have our team for the run in.

Then end of season they probably need to decide Trafford or Don.

One will go
