Players who might improve us

I have said for a while that a real physical powerhouse in the middle will allow our flair players to flourish. The player needs to have a real engine and desire, and pace to get about the pitch covering the gaps that others will leave. The need is more pronounced now that BS is leaving us.
Nico OR?

Two different players I don’t know where you see similarities
I watched Maza earlier on and he seemed to drift everywhere. I wouldn't say he's similar to Bernardo, but he could replace Bernardo. Seemed to be very comfortable on the ball in any area of the pitch.

What do you guys think about Camavinga? His stock hasn’t been this low in a while. I’m seeing a lot of hate toward him online right now after the red card, but even before that it felt like Real Madrid fans didn’t really appreciate him, to say the least.

I know he hasn’t fully lived up to his potential yet, but he’s only 23. He’s got a great left foot, he’s fast, strong, and an excellent tackler. I actually wanted him at our club before he chose Madrid, and I think Pep could get a lot more out of him than what we’ve seen so far.

I also think we might be able to get him for a relatively bargain price.
No. Much prefer Elliot Anderson.
Don't see the hype around Camavinga.

I hope if the club is going to break the bank & Spend +100m + 250K wages per week , it will be on match winners

Not another average over priced/rated players that will be impossible to sell in the future.

What player was that

I’ve no idea how the club are going to replace Bernardo’s in game management, his tactical understanding, his work rate, his availability or his desire to win.

He is such a unicorn. He is the glue that keeps the team ticking over. Not to mention he is clearly the most popular player within the squad too. Loved by everyone.

We won't replace him. All we can do is buy the best midfielders we can, and nurture leadership qualities in other players. We need to keep Rodri even if it means losing him on a free next summer. Losing both of their quality and leadership in the middle of the park and we're just not the same team.

Anderson isn't Bernardo and never will be, but he's a top number 6 already and could get a lot better under Pep

Literally none of them are a better option than Gordon.
What is Gordon actually good at? He’s not a creative force at LW, nor is he a volume goal scorer like Semenyo. This calendar year he has 3 NPG in the PL and before that went ages without a goal. You can’t even claim he’s like Doku in carrying his team up the pitch or like Grealish/Doku in getting players to double up on him. He’s just an average winger with pace to burn behind a high line.

Semenyo for example

And in the link below you will find many players that cost the club +100k a week with almost no added value

Semenyo cost 65m and scored game winners vs Leeds and Wolves and scored a goal in a semi final in his first few games. He will score more important goals. Sure he’s average on the ball but how many wingers have his numbers in the PL?

So are you saying Semenyo is average

People calling Semenyo bang average when he’s just signed from Bournemouth and settling in. He’s come in and pretty much started every game.

Some twats on here…

He was exceptional for Bournemouth , but recently his performance is not that impressive.

Not writing him off, just commenting on his recent performance.

Lets hope his contribution in the remaining games this season will help the team win the league.

Maybe he just needs a position change similar to the one you thought future Ballon d'Or winner Rodri needed?
