Pep Guardiola - 2025/26

Has successfully rebuilt the team in about 15 months. The last few weeks we've looked like any of Pep's title winning sides. He looks so relaxed it's scary when you consider that he's potentially got a domestic treble to be playing for in the last month or so of the season.

This isn't an I told you so, but I hope all those people who spent so long talking about how he had lost his hunger, was entering his Wenger phase, wasn't tactically smart enough, couldn't inspire the players, had been left behind, all reflect on why it's probably not smart to write off the greatest manager of all time after one bad season.
We did tell them so mate, back in November. https://forums.bluemoon-mcfc.co.uk/threads/pep-guardiola-2025-26.368749/post-18748470

The brainfarting, no plan B, stubborn, tippy tappy, sub-refusing, overly loyal, baffling, it's-on-him fraud appears to have done it again.

Yes. However, if we fail to win another trophy, this thread will be full of comments questioning him. Again.

But we are likely to win another trophy. Because anyone who isn't too biased against Pep or City can see we play the best football in the PL.

Pep in full mind games mode praising Arsenal’s mentality and Rice’s cringey playing to the cameras

Mind games openly speaking about Arsenal but also ammunition for our guys.

Pep openly speaking about how strong their mentality is (if anyone believes it or not).

Personally I preferred it when Rodri questioned their mentality that was brilliant.

Rodri questioned their mentality *after* we won the title.

i have a feeling pep will leave after the season finishes, he didnt want to leave last season because the squad needed strengthening , so he stayed on to get us into better shape, hope i'm wrong, just a nagging feeling

There's a seemingly real reluctance to give credit to Pep this season. Not just here, but in the wider mainstream media too. Arsenal have spent years building this squad, and this was considered "peak" for them. At the start of the season nobody gave us a chance because the perceived wisdom was that Arsenal (and Liverpool) had better, deeper, squads. The conversation was that City would do well to challenge for a CL place.

If all that's true, then how is Pep not the headline this morning?
Just checked bbc online. Only mention of Pep is pic showing him disgruntled with the sub headline ' I can celebrate how I want "

A much bigger article is on pogba saying if ratface played for us he'd be a ballon whater it's called winner .

I jsut saw this on the BBC website and it mentioned that some pundits were criticising the way we celebrated on Sunday. Do we know who these miserable anti-City bastards are, and is it too much to hope that they will be getting a season's ban in August.

Pep is to blame for most of our dropped points for pissing around with midfield & he nearly cost us again tonight. Just play Nico g when rodders not fit. It’s not difficult

Just unbalances the team & waits too long to correct his mistakes which are always the same ones

What have Reijnders and Marmoush done to you mate ? Gonzalez should've started too imo, otherwise this was mainly on the players who kept missing great chances.

Yeah let’s get rid of the bald fraud. That will solve all our ills.

Not sure why Nico G didn’t start - NOR is great at LB and would’ve made the perfect overload against another low block.

Nico G came on and demanded the ball and kept things ticking over, and quickly. Everything you need from your midfielder in a game like that.

However, a win is a win and we should’ve won by a lot more than 1 tonight if not for better finishing.

we had more than ennough chances to win by 3-4. very poor game Cherki, Semenyo, Haaland etc.

bit risky how cold Pep keeps like of Foden, Marmoush, Reijnders. rarely get a look in.
