Love this . Cheered me up . I particularly like "arrogate " . Likkle City stealing all their toys and still getting under the Red Tops skin . We are an itch they can't scratch

Usurp synonyms include seizing power, position, or rights without authority. Top synonyms are seize, take over, appropriate, arrogate, commandeer, wrest, supplant, assume, highjack, and encroach. It implies taking someone's place or power underhandedly, such as to depose or oust a leader.
I've always liked 'Arrogate' too.. some great coffee shops and bars there, like Betty's Tea Rooms.. often pop in there for a dish of Earl Grey and a French fancy or two when we're visiting friends who live in York.. (all right, all right.. I'll get me coat..)

But as for so-called 'football journalists' mangling and misusing the language, don't get me started.. there was one on the BBC match reports feed a short while ago who wrote that a player in one game 'should of scored there' instead of the correct 'should have/should've scored'.. a 'journalist' mind, not a contributing punter.. drives me mad!

Can tell we're top, the bull stories are coming thick and fast!

Rodri and Semenyo fall out

Pep leaving

115 punishment to take place this season (not even the decision, apparently we're going straight to punishment!)

How the Iran war could affect City's spending

Mass City player exit in summer

And I read all of the headlines, in my head, in the voice of a sobbing Arsenal fan whose just been told there an avocado shortage and all the GM-free oat milk has curdled.

When you can't win on the pitch, make it all about off the pitch, I suppose.

Remarkable (and lengthy) report in the Mail on Crystal Palace's victory over united in last night's Under 18 Premier League Cup. I think it was Palace, anyway, because they hardly got a mention. A flavour...

Headline

"No wonder Man United's academy kids felt frustration and anger... for all their fine progress and smart planning, nothing can prepare young stars for pain of throwing away a Cup final"

"Arriving at Selhurst Park in their perfectly pressed club suits, just days removed from beating this same Crystal Palace team at Old Trafford to reach the FA Youth Cup final, confidence was understandably high"

And, on and on, with the final prayer...

"With fuel on the fire, beat Manchester City in the Youth Cup final in the coming weeks and this will prove a mere footnote on their season-ending report card"

Can visualise the tears running down his/her cheeks as they drafted that homage to another failed attempt at success by some of the next world-class young players to come off their ever successful production line .....................

When the rags were in their pomp, their youth team players were household names. Sky and BBC plugging every game as if all of these young players were all on the path to stardom.
Nowadays, Sky and the BBC plug the rags 1st team hoping they will be household names and have already achieved stardom. Don't forget to vote Bruno player of the year !!!!

The Mail does seem to have an infatuation with the Trafford Tramps.
Was Oswald Moseley a follower ?

An absolute cracker from another social media, Tarquin, bellend.

He forgot about Arsenal spending half a billion pounds on players for Arteta.

And he reverted to type, 115, cheats.

When did we instantly bin off any of those players?
What an embarrassing ****. One of many embarrassing cunts who follow that embarrassing team of cunts.

Murphy and Rooney criticising our celebrations. Saying they were over the top. Why do we have to endure this constant BS from ex mard arse red shirt players in the main stream media.
Didn't Rooney get a ban (probably a reprimand cos he was playing for the rags) for sticking his ugly mush into the camera and screaming "fuck off" after scoring down at West Ham many moons ago?
Don't think he really merits an opinion on teams celebrating with his track record

Yeah and he was banned for the 2011 semi final victory where Berbatov missed a sitter early doors.
Had the Cartel known what dominance was coming, no doubt they would have reprieved him!
