Name a place that ONLY you has been to but no other Bluemooner has!

22 years ago I watched a documentary
‘John Lyndon Goes Ape’
I’ve always been fascinated with Primates and Chimpanzees in particular So I decided if I ever got the opportunity I would do a similar trip.
2 years later my then girlfriend now my wife went to Uganda and tracked Chimpanzees and Mountain Gorillas, the highlight being the stay on Ngamba Island.Unfortunately my wife contracted malaria but she still says it’s was the trip of a lifetime.

Travelling on an old bus from Polokwane to Johannesburg South Africa on a City pre-season tour 2009.
Should have been around a five hour journey, but the bus stopped many times with some sort of engine problem and it took nearly ten.

Just the once for me.

Knoydart is a place I've been that I can't imagine too many on here have been.
Been there twice, once on a day trip from Mallaig and the other time on a converted fishing boat, the Kylebhan, after an aborted trip to St Kilda and being storm bound in Canna for two nights, We did get to St Kilda the following year direct from Leverburgh

Of the places named, I've been to the Namib desert, Batu Caves and Valparaiso.

I expect others have been to Tikal and Easter Island, and maybe Angel Falls.

So the jungle city of Yaxchilan in Mexico (access only by boat), or the top of Mt Roraima in the Lost World, Venezuela.

Not me in this photo, but I've been on the end of that wire a few times.

That winch cable is aroung 75m in length and is held on the drum by 3.5 wraps of the wire and a tiny grub screw.

Had the chance to 'volunteer' for a bit of wet winching in Holyhead Harbour back in the day (I declined btw) in those days it would have been the old Westland Wessex
