Partially true. Like many towns and cities, it has some smarter areas and some that are not so great.

And Cornwall generally has a major issue with poverty and deprivation for far too many people.

I’d heard that, used to go on holiday every year as a kid (66 now) either Devon or Cornwall, some great resorts, Torquay, Newquay, Ilfracombe, Clovelly, Salcombe, Westward Ho! Really enjoyed those jollies.

My sister visits Cornwall every year, usually rents a cottage near Padstow. A couple of years ago she had to swap as the cottage was double booked so she ended up in Falmouth, never again, it’s a shadow of its former resort, deprived and run down.

It was a lad at the golf club who told me about Camborne, he was born and brought up there, hardly ever returned, he initially left as work was difficult to find, he was an engineer, unfortunately popped his Cornish Clogs a few years ago.
