Snooker

Looks like another Chinese winner this year and that winner will probably be Zhao Xintong again and it'll be well deserved, the Rolls Royce tag would be understated to describe the way he plays.

Yep if he’s on top form no one can handle his long game.
Murphy will be a tough test though, but I expect him to go through.

I bumped into Barry Hawkins in York a few years back when whatever tournament was happening. He looked miserable and I nearly said “cheer up Barry, it might never happen”.

He’d been knocked out in the first round the night before. I didn’t realise it had started!
 
Fantastic session and win by Murphy. Not his biggest fan but credit on some great play. At least it keeps him off beeb with his boring punditry
 
I'd put Murphy fav for the tournament. Cueing and potting really well. Wu Yize is one of the most attacking players I've seen in a while.
Murphy comes to a club in Oldham watching his nephew now and again and is very approachable and down to earth.

Over a decade ago he'd been doing an exhibition somewhere near and called into Normans snooker and pool in Rochdale for a late drink. He goes and chats to someone he knows while his mate goes to the bar and asks for a couple of pints.

Steve on the bar says ""are you lads members. If not you'll have to sign yourselves in?" His mate says no, but I'm with Shaun Murphy world snooker champion. Steve says I don't care who you're with, sign yourselves in or fuck off.

Hopefully Murphy's peaked too soon. Hopefully Robertson can hang onto his lead throughout tonight's session and see off Higgins but can't really see him beating Murphy in the semi's. Would put Mark Allen as favourite to reach the final from the bottom half of the draw now as it stands.
 
Watching Robertson v Higgins… but there’s someone in the other half watching the other game who’s going well over the top with his clapping while Higgins has been playing in this half.
