This. There’s a bigger enemy out there to direct questions at.Over 2000 available on seats net
Hundreds on live football tickets
Hundreds on stubhub
For me it's not the 20% that's the issue, it's the way it's been handled by the Club.This. There’s a bigger enemy out there to direct questions at.
The OSC gets 20% of tickets for every game. We know that. Move on. It won’t change.
There are only 28,700 tickets for each team, lowest I can ever remember for an FA Cup final. We have more ST holders than that, and if non-ST holders are getting tickets through SCs, it feels a bit barmy.Genuine question
Considering we get 30k odd tickets does it really make much difference?
I hold my hands up and admit I was a fully fledged apologist for the OSC, until recently. The whole concept of supporters club members getting access to any tickets before individuals with more loyalty points is rotten and completely unfair. Always has been always will be. Of course those supporters club members who benefit will argue differently. But They'd be wrong and deep down they know it.
How do you know if the vast majority of OSC members applying for tickets are not entitled to apply now?supporters clubs members should have been given the chance to buy their own, or wait until all season ticket holders and membership cup schemers had purchased, then they can have what's left, loyal fans have been put behind glory hunting day trippers who don't put anything into City, this farce needs sorting, the club should cancel the tickets of members in the supporters club, and let them apply further down the line. Nowhere near good enough
You think thats likely to happen? There are only 28,700 tickets for each team, lowest I can ever remember for an FA Cup final. We have more ST holders than that, and if non-ST holders are getting tickets through SCs, it feels a bit barmy.
I got my ticket this morning but there will be people on low points who’ve got themselves on the Cup Scheme to give them a chance of the final and they’ll miss out.
I have but only just, but the other three im with haven't so if I want to sit with them I've got to wait. I've been to around 80 grounds watching City through all the divisions. Home and away for about 15 years but then had kids and started my own business when the points system was introduced and I had to curb the aways, well not all of them but enough. So I missed out on a lot of points. Bad timing but hey ho that's the cards your dealt. Refused to pay platinum on principal so we all stayrd on gold season tickets and also because we had 4 season tickets in the family and another £200 was not feasable with young children and a new business to get going. I've got friends that did and they have all surpassed my points years ago and haven't been to anywhere near the grounds or games ive been to. I can accept all of that, it is what it is but whats the point in joining a cup scheme to then get screwed over by allowing members of Supporters Clubs tickets who never go.Blimey you've had a season ticket since 1977 and haven't managed 10k points
How do you know if the vast majority of OSC members applying for tickets are not entitled to apply now?
It’s not just you but lots of folks all making out that everyone receiving a ticket this way has been to one game this season
My own experience of being in the Tampa Bay OSC is that I am the only one not turning up for games at the pub decked out in replica gear. Many members have all 3 kits and the Chinese new year daft kits and the Noel Gallagher and Aguero kit and wear them as and when City wear them. They put a lot more into City’s coffers than I do.loyal fans have been put behind glory hunting day trippers who don't put anything into City,
Not on this scale, but still a similar scenario. This deserves its own thread because it's an absolute disgrace and needs calling out properly.
It's become clear this morning that Supporters Club members were given the exact same booking window as those sitting on 20k+ loyalty points and members of the Cup Scheme. Let that sink in. Fans in some cases without season tickets, who have atttended a grand total of one game this season, the League Cup Final, were given their choice of ANY SEAT at the same time as supporters who have grafted for years, gone to every cup tie and shelled out god knows how much to get into this position. The £80 seats in the lower tier have all gone in the first window because of this, leaving those on 15 - 20k points to pay £125 if they want to be in the lower tier.
I respect the supporters clubs and I understand how great they have been for the clubs following and I understand that lots of SC members would qualify in their own right HOWEVER it is not right that a member not on the cup scheme, or even without a ST can jump the queue. I know for a fact that a lot of OSC members only apply for finals & big home games. Do they really deserve their pick of any ticket over someone on 19k points who's been to every cup home game for years? This is the first time this has happened I believe for a final, supporters club usually select a category and they get what they are given. That system was still not ideal, but felt slightly fairer.
What is the point of the Cup Scheme any more? The whole structure of how this club allocates tickets to its most loyal supporters has been completely undermined & while we're at it, the 1894 Group once again ringfenced the "cheaper" £80 seats at the front of the stand, again you didn't need a season ticket to get one of these seats. For the group whose purpose is supposedly generating atmosphere. Every single person who has ever set foot in a football ground in their life knows full well that the atmosphere is built from the back of the stand, not pitchside.
& I'm not even going to get started on corporate allocations.
Brilliant work all round.
I'm fuming about this and so is every loyal match going supporter I've spoken to this morning. The club needs to explain itself.
Any of them wearing one of the daft kits definitely need an eye keeping on them.My own experience of being in the Tampa Bay OSC is that I am the only one not turning up for games at the pub decked out in replica gear. Many members have all 3 kits and the Chinese new year daft kits and the Noel Gallagher and Aguero kit and wear them as and when City wear them. They put a lot more into City’s coffers than I do.

Clubs ticket policy is rotten.
I’m a season ticket holder since 1984, on the cup scheme and a member of an OSC.How do you know if the vast majority of OSC members applying for tickets are not entitled to apply now?

I agree with that mate exactly same with me missed a fair few when kids we're little and running a business plus travelling a lot with mates who didn't have season tickets, so we just waited until tickets went to open sale went in to ticket office and bought em no points received, pretty easy when we were shite. Can't speak for every branch but you won't get one in our branch unless you travel regular to the crappy aways ie Bournemouth on a Tuesday. To keep up I went Platinum even though I didn't agree with it, did let me get the £125 one I wanted at 10am in 131 hopefully that's let somebody have one of the cheaper ones. Only gripe I have is OSC only gets it in the neck for the big games if there was a thread for semi final I missed it.I have but only just, but the other three im with haven't so if I want to sit with them I've got to wait. Last time I was in Universal there were more Yanks in City kits than in Manchester :-)My own experience of being in the Tampa Bay OSC is that I am the only one not turning up for games at the pub decked out in replica gear.
