A disgraceful undermining of the Ticket Points system - again

The whole concept of supporters club members getting access to any tickets before individuals with more loyalty points is rotten and completely unfair. Always has been always will be. Of course those supporters club members who benefit will argue differently. But They'd be wrong and deep down they know it.
What are your feelings on the 20% of tickets that go too corporate hospitality, travel and ticketing partners, club staff.
For this match 5800 tickets.

I don’t think anyone’s really arguing that on here though. It’s about fairness and people getting tickets without the required points for the final.
But realistically how many tickets are we talking about here?
Many OSC members will be eligible to purchase tickets early on, yet the picture being given in this thread is all of the OSC tickets are going to folk who have been to 3 games or less all season

Didn’t loyalty points get introduced when we moved stadium? I know they gave you a dump of points for previous attendance but it’s entirely possible to be a very long term season ticket holder and not have 10k.
I thought they were introduced last season at Maine Road and you got 1500 points when we moved over to CoMS and early on you got some games with 50 and 100pts for attending think it would be difficult if in cup schemes and attending cup games not to have made 10k, old boy who comes with us doesn't go aways has over 21k, admittedly went platinum.

I don’t have close to 21k and I have had a season ticket since the 90s. I used to do aways a lot too. My ticketing points history shows a dump load of points I got in 2003 when we moved.

Maybe it’s platinum as I I’ve always refused that absolute fucking nonsense.

I’m a season ticket holder since 1984, on the cup scheme and a member of an OSC.
Some in our group that got tickets only been to the League Cup Final this season.
Others, have admitted to not being on Cup Scheme and wouldn’t be eligible until late Tuesday but managed to get cheap seats at 10 am this morning.
I didn’t use the opportunity to buy through the OSC. Waited for my slot, with my grown up kids, alongside others.
This is wrong.
Nobody can convince me otherwise.
City have buggered up.
Can’t reverse it.
But must do better next time.
Keep it simple.
Buy once loyalty points met. Cup scheme. Not cup scheme. Etc.
It’s not rocket science.
Anyway,
Up the Cup Final selling out blues.

Thank you, so the problem is identified and the solution starts at the bottom and works its way up because it won’t change from top coming down.

You need to go to the OSC AGM with like minded members and propose a motion that OSC tickets have to be distributed to members who qualify for tickets first and that members who wouldn’t qualify initially have to wait (set time given) before they can purchase their ticket.
So you aren’t saying those folk who only go to the big games can’t get a ticket, you are saying they have to let those fans eligible for tickets on the first few days to purchase their tickets first.
That way those there for the glory may have to pay a higher price for their day out over those Blues who have put the miles in over the season.

Would be interesting to see which branches oppose that (and their reasoning).
This is the only way you will change this and prevent it happening again.

Only gripe I have is OSC only gets it in the neck for the big games if there was a thread for semi final I missed it.
There wasn't, and there were thousands empty, which not many complained about either.

I disagreed with the OSC getting priority a few years ago, having spent years getting mine that way, when demand was much less, and nobody complained then either.

Today I had to wait till 1pm to get on and buy mine, I couldn't get my preferred block, other than very close to the back. I refuse to pay anything more than the cheapest price at Wembley, some of the prices are a scandal in my view, but there were thousands left when I logged on just after 1pm, so had no trouble getting 2 together in the block next to the one I wanted.

What stops people joining their nearest OSC for these now inevitable trips to Wembley.
Cant stand politics, unfairness when this should be, was a game, hobby for all.
The ticket , coach gents at our branch deserve a medal and go over and above in fact id say a number of lifelong exiles like me would be lost without them as the club concentrates on monitoring me as a season ticket holder for decades.
Next season i guess capping osc tickets is a given but the blanket hate on here to OSCs period seems to be quite personal as if describing rags, scousers etc .

I didn't say it did.
I want to know why this group of people are not being called out aswell.
Anyone who knows me,knows I have no truck with the supporters club and my views is and always has been, that all away tickets should go through the loyalty points scheme.
Because the main issue pissing people off is easy access to cheap tickets taking them away from people who deserve them. Despite those other groups also being wrong they weren't logging on this morning before anyone else and taking all the 50 quid tickets

Platinum made a big difference obviously, if you wanted to go to away's regular you just had to bite the bullet and cough up the extra £50, not sure why he did it as never went away.

platinum has always felt like an insult to me. Loyalty points for paying extra for the same seat, they can fuck off.

I got away tickets when the members at our OSC with loads of points dropped out and then I became reliable as a backup so got favour with the club chairman.

Still got a decent amount of points and I probably would be on 20,000+ with platinum now I think about it.

It’s utterly mental that someone who hasn’t been to a game all season, doesn’t have a season ticket, pays a few quid to join a supporters club and then gets first dabs at a cup final ticket ahead of the vast majority of people who are on the cup scheme.
