Pep Guardiola - 2025/26

He was asked if he'd be watching arsenal v. Fulham and said "What time is it on? Maybe we'll have a training session." Love it. Long live Pep.
The thing is that this is not even him playing mind games.

Our camp will literally not even be bothered about what Arsenal are doing right now.

Pep will have them locked in and focused on what WE can and need to do and they’ll know that will very likely be enough to win the title

Sadly, have been told by someone who’d know that the rumours about Pep leaving at the end of the season are indeed correct. Praying it’s not true, but he’d have no reason to lie :(

Not a huge surprise, given the amount of speculation, but still absolutely gutted. What a ride it’s been, the end of an incredible era. Winning the domestic treble would be a fitting end though for the greatest manager of all time.

As has been speculated, the new North Stand will be named in his honour and Enzo Maresca is his replacement.

Shit, gutted.

Feels like this squad is just starting to take shape to.

No doubt you've posted in good faith but thats a big call, he never breaks contracts and i don't think he'll break this one, we'll just have to wait and see

Yeah, I really hope it's wrong information. Like you, I was convinced he'd see out his contract and pray that he still does.
Lets just hope it is wrong,i'd be suprised if he jacked it now just as this team looks to be really strarting to gel, if anything i thought he may sign another extension but maybe he's just emotionally shot now and needs the break or even it could be family related, just hoping it's not true but if anyone has insider info thats decent on here it's you mate.

Not a great shock but still be gutted. Not a huge fan of Maresca but he knows the club and you can't really judge him at Chelsea as that place is a fucking circus.

Surely you would think Vinny is lined up in a couple of years

Whilst I'm surprised that he would want to leave just as this team looks like it's turning into something special, maybe that's the mark of the man - handing over the reins when we're in good shape. Committing last season to rebuild and avoid leaving us in the shit really is impressive

Obviously I'd love him to stay for another 10 years of course!

The signs are there unfortunately. Maeresca has been out of work for 4 months with no real links to any other club and now the big push to get the north stand open for the last game.
I can see Maresca doing a Pelligrini/Slot and win the league in his first season but struggle in his second, paving the way for a Kompany return.

The media rumours are correct ditto Sam Lee too.
Also there has been a wild speculation that Kompany wont be the immediate successor since a) he is at Bayern and very comfortable b) no sane person would
Like to replace Pep unless he is the company man which I think Maresca is. Knows the club, desperate to coach us and won’t question much once we let him go and Kompany takes the charge.

How much successful Enzo would be is still a question mark? He did got club World Cup to Chelsea. A league title, a UCL and a couple of domestic cups in three years and then the great man Kompany comes along ;)
Easy peasy!

Surprising given his latest response to the question in recent press conference.

I wouldn’t expect him to confirm he was leaving, but the way he answered the question went further than he needed to in terms of giving the impression he would still be here next season.

Sadly it all makes sense doesn't it, in terms of rushing to get the North Stand open for the final day, Maresca not even being linked with anywhere else. However, I would love for him to see out his contract.

The best to ever do it.

Too many soft signs unfortunately. Gutted.
