Pep to leave at the end of the season

I think it’s the perfect choice.

Whoever takes over from Pep is on a hiding to nothing. We’ll just have to have a couple of years being a ‘normal’ good team.

Maybe we all need sort of a re-set as Pep has made us realise all our dreams. I don’t think we get as excited about achievements as we used to anymore.

Then King Kompany can return, in a couple of seasons, and the feel good factor will return.

That’s what I feel too. Either you push and hire someone like Enrique or Alonso and then Kiss the idea of Kompany becoming our manager in the near future goodbye as these will be at the club for 5-6 years and it won’t be easy to ask them to leave as soon as Kompany is available.
Maresca helps us solve this problem.

I wasn’t keen on him first, but he got Leicester promoted and he did a fairly decent job at Chelsea. With Vinnie, not being available, who else?
That’s not a record I’d associate with taking over the most successful club in the last 15 years mate.

“Fairly good job” merchants belong at your Fulhams.

If Pep goes, which I doubt he will, we need a proper successor.

Ancelotti, Enrique, Kompany, Klopp vibes.

Emery as the back up.

Maresca has achieved fuck all of note.

I refuse to believe the club would go from the greatest of all time to Enzo fucking Maresca.
I can firmly believe it, even if I’m not a fan. Knows the club, PL experience, good coach, won trophies under that hideous Chelsea regime.

Succeeding pep is an unenviable task, even if City probably the most attractive place to work.

Fair play to him for having the balls to take it on, he’s got a little bit of a free hit I suspect

Now say that out loud regarding the criteria to replace Pep Guardiola.

Vinny, like any other manager, is available. Contracts aren't worth the paper they are written on, if you're able to convince and willing to pay compensation to the club in question.

Enrique and Vinnie are the only suitable replacements. They probably aren’t available.

Maresca has worked at the club under Pep, is highly thought of and like I said, he’s had a fairly decent start to his managing career. He’s a suitable stop-gap option.

How do you know he’s available? It might be in City’s and Vinnies best interest for him to stay at Bayern for a couple of years.

Just posted in the Guardiola thread, but have been told by someone who’d know that Maresca is indeed taking over from Guardiola at the end of the season. Can see the logic, but feels like a bit of an uninspiring choice to me. Wish him all the best though, it’s some big boots to fill!
Think they are hoping the players won’t notice the change.

Thought for a while pep would leave after 10 years it just puts a bow and he is losing Bernardo. It’s fitting.

Name that stand after him city

He did about 5 minutes with us, working with the kids, mate.

He then went to Parma and got fucked off by them.

He did a decent job at Leicester but in the championship.

He then fucked off to the biggest basket case in football. That tells me all I need to know about the man’s intelligence. Where he again, got fucked off.

He’s won 1 trophy of note.

The other “trophy” is a preseason kick about against a load of Columbian taxi drivers who’s training regime consists of 40 cigs, a bottle of Jack and a family bucket of KFC.

He’s absolutely wank.

Klopp would be the bollocks. Top coach who’d love coaching this squad
