I actually rate maresca higher than kompany.

It's pretty much an impossible task replacing Pep so our owners probably see Maresca as the safe option and for a smooth transition until we can get Vinnie or another world class manager.
By all accounts Meresca was well liked and respected by players, staff and the hierarchy when he was here, so I very much doubt this will be our Ferguson/Moyes moment
Pep was unique in that he is truly elite with tactics as well as motivation.It’s getting the players on Board if we go through a bad spell them still doing what he is coaching them. Being Italian also he won’t be as calm as Pep he will question referees if we have bad decisions..
