Pep Guardiola - 2025/26

I know this sounds unbelievable but I know fans who want to see the back of him, think it’s more for his personality than his ability

Going off the match day threads as recent as the last few weeks, it certainly isn’t unbelievable.

As for if it’s true or not. He is always going to go at some point. Be it now or in however many years, he’s been here longer than he has been at any club by a large percentage as manager. Us, City. He’s changed the face of us.

I trust the process when the change happens. I don’t even think I’ll be sad, just glad he chose to put his name to this club and change the way it was looked at and give us history.

We are in good hands

Not sure what the issue is; we all know that he's not going to be here for another decade. In the grand scheme of things, whether he goes this summer or next is pretty irrelevant, I would hope that the hierarchy at the club have some sort of plan to deal with the transition from Pep to whoever. Like many, though, it's more the who takes over that concerns me. Maresca is an underwhelming prospect. VK is the obvious candidate that most fans would want. But I'm guessing that it'd be just about impossible to persuade Bayern to let him leave, unless he has a release clause in his contract.

No doubt you've posted in good faith but thats a big call, he never breaks contracts and i don't think he'll break this one, we'll just have to wait and see
But unless you have seen his contract, you do not know if he is actually breaking it. I am pretty sure City and Pep have long had the intention not to have a situation of Pep being in the last year of his contract and everyone knowing he won’t renew.

So I have long reckoned he leaves at the end of this season or renews again.

Ric would not post on here about this if his source was not solid and it just adds to the growing feeling that we are getting Maresca.

Vinny isn’t ready for us yet, give him a couple more years first and then he will be here for a decade.
