I fear you may be correct. Big win for them tonight.I think they’re on a too much of a high for them to drop points.
I don't think we will win the season and if we do it will be extremely lucky for us and because arsenal have bottled it.
It isn't a failure of a season by any means, we had it in our hands despite many loses and draws this season where we should have won. We are still in it for the FA cup and we've won the league cup already. We will probably end up finishing 2nd.
Not a failure by any means especially given we have new players, etc. We will hopefully improve. I see pep staying next season but I don't think he will renew his contract after that. Familiarity breeds contempt and I think pep knows that.

I was quite happy they qualified past the quarters, but like we’ve experienced before, winning breeds confidence. Wish we hadn’t had that long break, especially since our first team didn’t play against Southampton.I fear you may be correct. Big win for them tonight.

Has last nights result changed it that much…..Before last night, if both teams had won their remaining games then Arsenal were big favourites mainly because they will almost certainly bag a hatful against a relegated Burnley………so in reality we were always relying on West Ham getting a result on Sunday.
I always thought it was a tall order but that last Doku goal could really matter.
If West Ham do beat Arsenal, I really believe we will win our last four matches ……with a fit Rodri !
Do you actually think West Ham, who let’s face it are pretty shit, Will get anything against them? It a very slim chance. 5% I’d say.

But it also gives them a distraction. If they had lost then that would have left them with only the title to think about. There will be some of their players' minds on the final now, no matter where they are in the league, especially if they're now thinking the league is more or less in the bag. This season has been a good one because nobody expected us to win anything, and next season could be better or it might not work out, but even then he may not want to finish on a low.
I'm pretty sure the club will do all they can to get him to stay because I'll tell you now, we're not going to get anyone else who brings us this much success and some on here need to be careful what they wish for.

I agree and doubt West Ham will take any points from Arsenal….but that was my point that even if we had won last night we still needed Arsenal to drop points at West Ham due to the potential goal difference being too great.
They've played ONE decent match in the past 3 months, and that was against Fulham. They've been awful in most others and the ones they have won have generally been by the odd goal.
Also a chance that some players won't want to get injured for the CL final, and may find it a distraction. You just don't know, better teams have been this close in the past and got nothing.
Yet they are still top of the PL table and in the CL final.

The players will be fighting for a place in the CL final team.
The thought of possibly getting injured won’t enter their minds.
