Fair one, don’t disagree, I just think the same flexibility should be extended to every season ticket holder, what’s wrong with sharing a season ticket if you pay for it?

Absolutely nothing wrong with sharing. The problem is the ridiculous PL Rule R.16 and City's massively overzealous implementation of that, not the Norwegian OSC.

Add in the 18-25s and this allocation to non points holders is much bigger than the OSC allocation.

If a seat gets used for 19 games, as long as it isn't ending up in the hands of touts, then that's mostly all that matters. The club took a ridiculous line this season and have thankfully seen sense.

My view is simple - people who buy season tickets should use and not abuse them. If you know you'll generally struggle to make 10 games in person then get a flexi-gold.

Don’t disagree, as you say the club have used a sledgehammer to crack a nut here. My question was only because you seemed to suggest there was some sort of club sanctioned group SC, apologies if I misinterpreted it.

I've been in the cup schemes since the start. The reason I joined was nothing to do with points. I go to all the cup ties and it just made sense to have my ticket secured without having to be messed about by the ticket office. It would be a pain in the arse if they scrapped it.

I joined as they used to charge a booking fee many years ago when you rang up
It was just easier I recall you got and extra 25points per scheme
We only ever played 2/3 max in those days !

I think that’s very different. At away games in particular it was becoming impossible for 18-25 to get tickets. That was a much needed change.

Now if you said the hospitality/ corporate percentage I’d agree with you.

The general point is good, but is still deflecting from the main issue being discussed

It’s annoying but not the end of the world for most people just funding themselves. My train has cost £114. Thankfully they kept it a pound below the pisstake number!

Fair dos. I had already said the corporate / hospitality and the pull throughs in the post before so it’s not really deflection. Added together maybe 50 to 55% of tickets have been sold to points.

You do have to wonder if City do things like this deliberately, and they don’t give a fuck about the consequences of their actions and the fans backlash.

We are talking about clever and educated business people who run a multi-million pound football club and business.

Last year I was on the cup scheme 25 year ST holder. Didn't get one first time round. Only got one when they released more. I'll be very surprised if I get one tomorrow not being in the scheme.

Really? Wow. I dodnt realise it was that tight. Didn’t we have about 33,000 tickets? I thought we had less than 20,000 in FA Cup scheme

It’s not just that. It’s the commitment to pay for and attend games that we might not nessecarily have attended otherwise, other than to be front of the queue for a cup final ticket. We’ve put the yards in when, let’s face it, others couldn’t be arsed.

All the time and money for what, to be charged £75 more EACH than we should do on top of what we’ve already laid out, when others have been skipped to the front for literally nothing.

(I don’t blame anyone that’s bought tickets, we’d all do the same and I understand not everyone can make games, espicially cup games).

I think until last year if you wanted one through the OSC you were given what you were given, it's changed now.

That said I used to get tickets through an OSC, but I would diy it for wembley, because I don't want to fund that stadium, so go for the cheapest ticket every time. If that had been over £50 this year I wouldn't have gone, fortunately I got a decent view £50 ticket (on cup scheme), just as I got £35 for the semi.

I think you are right with the ticket allocation and cup scheme numbers, which just serves to show how many tickets go sideways, to SC’s, corporates, the clubs touting partners, and god knows who else.
