A disgraceful undermining of the Ticket Points system - again

I'd imagine only the club and a handful of people high up in the OSC can answer that one. Tim said he thought it was because of the short turnaround between the semi and the final but they also did it for the League Cup Final when the turnaround was longer so I'm not sure whether that's the reason or the only reason.
I will throw in staffing levels in the ticket department

The point is that plenty of people who have applied through OSCs have got in ahead of many on the cup scheme, despite not qualifying for a ticket in their own right. For instance, my mate who isn't even a season ticket holder anymore could buy one at the same time as me, even though I'm a season ticket holder with over 27,000 points on all the cup schemes. Now I'm happy that he's got a ticket as he's a mate plus it's not his fault that he was able to get one at 10am on Friday - seriously, who wouldn't turn down that chance? - but it's not exactly fair.
I take your point and I agree its wrong... but my comment was in response to the poster who said that being on the cup scheme no longer gave you priority. It still does, although the club have now thrown in the OSC issue to make it a bit more difficult

Hi Simon. I think a week passed between winning the semi final and having the date / time confirmed for the final. There was a lot less time for the one person dedicated to the oSC in the ticket office than the actual gap between semi final and final.

I also think the other game when this process was used was the FA Cup Semi Final rather than the carabao cup final

To be honest I’ve phoned up city to see what the ticket allocation was on Saturday told it was only for season tickets holders and cup scheme members.and tickets might be on sale to General club members on Tuesday.

Phoned up yesterday day and was told the Same again but try on Thursday.

I don’t understand it be a week by Thursday and obviously haven’t seem to sold many tickets so why keep it so long for Club members .

And I know I’m opening my self to a lot of stick for this comment .

I understand to first priority given to cuo scheme members.

But why season tickets holders that have priority at home league game fixtures and at a cheaper price then the members going to home games though out the season,

I understand the importance of season tickets in the financial situation.

It Generates income before the season starts .

But that probably is the only advantage to a Club for Season ticket sales .

Like I said I’ve open myself to stick
But would Appreciate your comment in a polite manner if possible

ST holders have always had priority over members for away and cup final tickets, and this isn't just at City. Are you proposing to get the same chance of a cup final ticket over someone who has had a ST for 20 years but isn't on the cup scheme?

Honest question, but is it correct to say that as of 4pm today, any season ticket holder, regardless of cup scheme membership or accumulated points will be able to buy a ticket for the cup final? Is that correct?
Nothwithstanding legitimate and obvious issues regarding getting seats together, and pricing, very few who might be considered "deserving" will be left out. I get it that offering someone a ticket for £255 isn't really an offer for many, but, per the seat counters thread, there are some £80s left, a good few £125s and lots of £175s.

So the main issue then seems to be that the OSC got access to choose cheaper and better positioned seats ahead of others. Seems like the soloution is that the OSC allocation, if 20%, is 20% of each pricing tier. Not sure how hard that'd be to administer though. Also I'm not sure all OSC members simply went for the cheapest tickets and mopped those up.

Maybe I am reading it wrong and not all Season Ticket holders will have a buying opportunity this afternoon.

Yes because a person could be attending the same number of matches as a Season ticket holder for 20 yrs .

Are you saying the season ticket holder is rewarding for his loyalty over a person who Could attend as many match’s and not rewarded for Is loyalty,

I’ve already made the point the season ticket holders play less per Game than the members who pay more per Game,

Like I said don’t understand why a season ticket holder should get priority for Cup Final tickets or any game out side the league.

It just seems unreasonable.

Does it fuck.

Does it fuck.
Well it certainly seems that way explain why a person with a season ticket should get priority over a person who not a season tickets holder who attend the same number of Games it seems to be right and fair

Set up is absolutely wank.

The window for me to buy is now open but the window for my daughter isn’t for a few more days. So there’s absolutely fuck all chance of us being able to sit together. Therefore we can’t go.

Is your daughter a season card holder. They do Junior pull throughs

Because the ST holder stumps their money up front at the start of the season. You don't get it back if we have a bad season whereas a member might decide not to go to certain games thus saving money.

If she not a season holder think that emphasising my point exactly,

A few more days? Currently there are no more windows after 4pm today, although that might change if tickets remain

Yes I already mentioned about the idea of a season ticket holder bringing in finance before the season starts .

And like I said there already reward for that
