Referees' Performances | 2025/26

Best one for me are the subtle ones, first half we foul a Brentford player at side of box in a dangerous position, they still have control of the ball yet he doesn’t play advantage and gives them the free kick. The EXACT opposite happens in the second half, in the same place, yet he allows play to carry on even though we aren’t in a threatening position.

Simple, but clever and intentional.

He was one of the most incompetent yet. Just really shit. The big calls that are getting the attention I think were right but there was so many small obviously wrong calls throughout.

Just off the top of my head he gave us a throw that so clearly wasn't we all burst out laughing. gave us a foul on Ake when he just slipped, gave us another freekick when it was a clear freekick for them, gave a freekick against us from a fair distance away when the ball was barely a cm from the linesman who saw no foul committed. Then basic shit like not letting the keeper take a freekick from where the linesman flagged for offside, blowing up way too early for halftime. Just an official way out of his depth today.

How anybody can say he was against us though I've no idea. He was just incompetent, got things wrong both ways but some of the more important decisions, which i think were right but you could imagine them going the other way all went in our favour.

I got a text in the first half from my ERO, and it seems Everton had had Salisbury recently on VAR and had suggested some kind of novelty decision that appeared new to the world of football. My son thought we might have the better end of Salisbury's deliberations now that he was welded to a whistle rather than a computer. i had to disabuse offspring that he was just another shower of shite hiding behind his yellow cards. Oh, and why did Marmoush get a yellow? Wasn't he ten yards from the corner kick? I must warn fans that the clown that turns up on Wednesday will be worse.

Absolutely incompetent clown or blatant cheat or both. 2 mins injury time in the first half was an absolute piss take, and then most of the 2 mins weren’t played anyway. Useless **** - 6?mins first half injury time if that was at the Emirates

In the first half was complicit in helping them time waste. He let their keeper reposition the ball, whilst ignoring it, at every goal kick then he would run up to the centre circle and then blow his whistle for the game to resume. Each goal kick must have lasted over 30 seconds, and how much time did he add on?

4 cards in 8 fouls.
Dippers got 1 94th minute card today in 17 fouls.

To be fair with this, the way we play means we will always have more cards per fouls than most if not all, it’s been the same with every Pep team as they normally dominate the possession.

Yeah as bad as the others are, Atwell is the worst. Absolutely brazen cheat

Even further, Bernardo go carded for “punching” a leg, Nunes for argy bargy with Henderson and Marmoush for encroachment.

The only yellow we got for a foul was NOR for pulling back to stop an attack, which was nailed on.

Had Salisbury wanted to shaft us today, he’d have given the penalty in the second half and sent Nunes off. I doubt VAR would have changed that decision as there was a push in the back.

I agree with this

BTW thanks for the pint

I thought he was generally ok. Correctly overlooked the 2 non-penalties (and they really weren't) and only gave Bernardo a yellow (not sure on the rule for that one). Made plenty of minor mistakes that didn't really affect the result.

Lots worse than him.
