North Stand expansion | Trial Event - Wed 20th May (p110)

What incentive would you like, i:e what would incentivise you to turn up for the test event?
At least 4 hours at minimum wage. They could make fans pay £20 then pay them £71 back if they scan in.

That would be fair for the time and effort.

I did but didn’t expect them to be so restrictive with who it was available to, when they’ve done similar things they’ve opened to Matchday member almost straight away.
Yes, it was a weird thing to do. Demand was never going to be high for this.

What more incentive do City fans need to attend the test event if they have no interest in the stand, don’t want to part with £5, and won’t be moving to the new North stand.

Talk about what’s on, being vague, and a secret.

Live music. Which band or singer?
Former players. Who?
Photo opportunities with who, the former players?
Interactive quiz and prizes. What prizes?
Moonchester & Moonbeam. The kids, if any turn up, will like that.
Plus much more. What more?

It’s hardly tempting people and selling the event is it?

The club cannot do anything right for some people.
There has been constant whinge and moan about the whole North Stand development from some.

Perhaps Take That should have a gig.

I am sure enough familes with kids will turn up, or maybe as @Corky suggests the club will pay fans 80 quid for a few hours graft.

See they are begging people to attend but still charging.

A lot who paid £5 or £3 won't bother, as there is still no incentive to turn up. 3,500 in a queue to have a photo with the Milk Cup, not really a big USP.
Is it that time of the month again Corky? You seem to be a bit crabby tonight.

It’s not about cannot doing anything right, it’s about attracting as many City fans as possible to the test event in a short period of time.

Rather than keeping everything a secret that City seem to do with everything, they are totally obsessed with doing that, why not just tell the fans all of the above.

If I was promoting an event, and I wanted as many people as possible to attended the event, in this case City fans, I would tell them exactly what was going on on the night as soon as the event was advertised on the OS. I would also leave the event details as a sticky on the main OS page instead of it being buried away under the North stand drop down.

Update from Levybee76.

We’re getting there, thankfully.

Test event - 435 left, now open up to match day members, still only 1 per member

Meeting Peter Schmeichel, Andrew Cole and Steve McMannaman may put people off

It's nothing more than a test event,
My guess is the club are saving the bunting and fireworks for the opening event.
