Season Card taken away after 50 years!

Firstly without know the full facts of the OP's situation then its difficult to have an opinion of the club's actions However I am aware of a couple of people that contacted the club and explained their circumstances and why they wouldn't be able to attend the minimum matches. The club couldn't have been more understanding, even offering a parking place and access to lifts in one case unfortunately this wouldn't have helped, they were told not to worry and to keep the club informed if it continued into next season
Just to add I know a rag who had a ST at City and used it for about there games a season the derby and a couple of other big games rest of the time it was left empty and it amused him that it was thus He had to give it up when the new criteria was introduced The club are trying to stop this kind of thing going on including the touts

Whether it's medical, work pattern, new parents dealing with a new born, it's striking that City are jumping on people for 1 season. If people have a rolling 3 season attendance of day 60 matches at home and they attend under half that might be a reason to downgrade to Flexi. But one season? That's disgraceful.

Looked at the replies to his post on Twitter and its due to his job is NHS shifts and also off shore and late changes to KO times Says he used the lift entrance as his mate is disable but not sure if his ticket was scanned properly, said his ticket was used every game claims he told the club and was offered a Flexi Gold but refused

I emailed the club in August explaining I'd just had a new born, I'd likely not make the criteria this season but I'd make sure the seat was always full, and the club made a note on the account and have let me renew.

I do think it's been a bit poorly implemented, I'd have introduced the policy, given warnings, and then taken seats away based on a three season average. But I don't think the club are wrong to ask why people need a season card if they're regularly not getting to games when the seat could be occupied by someone who can be there.

I don’t understand how City know he hasn’t attended if the ticket has been used? Does it mean he’s transferred to someone on his friends and family too many times?
In that case you can understand why the club think he may be selling the ticket on. I don't know the full story so I'm not judging, but I can see why they've done it.

I was talking about know the full facts on this specific incident, not generalising.
I dont need to know the full facts of this case. The club are constantly fucking off legacy fans INCLUDING THIS ONE, and they are cunts for it. Thats my opinion, yours may be different, but don’t lecture me for mine

There are clearly some very obvious circumstances where season ticket holders need to be given a pass for not making 10 games.

That being said, why should someone who consistently fails to attend games get the financial benefits of being a season ticket holder? If you can’t make half the games you need to be buying on a match by match basis and let the season ticket go to someone who can attain the level of commitment a season ticket holder should have.

And there's plenty come on here who have got a pass for various reasons. Seeing your arse and refusing a Flexi (which by the sounds of it would suit them more) is just dumb. No sympathy at all.

What season tickets holders only attending 6 games a year ?
This season has been a joke for for rescheduled and midweek games.

Tickets have been available up to kick off for almost every game bar the top 6 - why do they think this a problem that needs solving when there are plenty of tickets for the tourists as it stands.

There has got to be more flexibility from the club for supporters that have a season affected by work commitments as well as personal reasons. Ffs ask who is doing this cull to count how many seats are available for tomorrow night and see if getting rid of 30 year + seasoncard holders is the best option.

Do City really think it’s a good idea to cull season card holders now - when next season we have 9000 extra seats and possibly no Pep and fuck knows what the 115 result will bring in the Summer. absolutely mental.

I contacted the club about my health situation and I will only do 9 games this season. They were understanding and reasonable and I will be able to renew as normal.

Why though ?
I already told you. They only officially attended 9 games each on their own card. The reason was because my Dad broke his hip midway through the season and couldn't come any more, and he brought his mate. So the two tickets next to me were free so my sons used my dad's two tickets instead of their own so they could sit with me.

City refused to help. 6 of us over 3 generations has becomes 1 of us. I didn't make a big fuss on here or anywhere else and they went and got Saturday jobs at another football club but it pissed me off because I saw it as indicative of bad policies losing loyal fans. I still buy them tickets for some games (maybe about 6-7 this year) but thy would have been sitting with me for every game, cups too, this season if City hadn't been dicks about it. And now they are out of the habit.

Are you deliberately being stupid, in his OP he says they sat in his dad's and dad's mate's unoccupied seats due to being unable to attend to due to an injury. And therefore didn't accrue the attendances in their own seats.
They would have scanned in and that would have had them attending regardless where they sat ? No ?
