I’ve been thinking about this over the weekend, and had a post-Wembley discussion over breakfast this morning.
Think this is actually quite brave and strategic. Win this and Burnham makes a statement. Lose and he keeps his job as mayor.
No point hiding from this cancer. The cunts need fronting up.
And I have no doubt Burnham will be far more radical than Starmer. He’ll have to be if he’s going to serve more than three years.

Plus he will be more recalcitrant towards Trump.
