Pep to leave at the end of the season

'To watch and listen to Guardiola that day was an education. It was street fighting stuff from a man utterly in step with his club’s belief that the established football hierarchy are out to derail City’s march to dominance. Unrehearsed but passionate, structured and persuasive. No wonder players want to embrace sacrifice for him.'

The mail get something right.

1. Alonso inherited Ancelotti’s good work and just one year later fell out with everyone and won nothing with mighty RM

2. In his only year with Chelsea, Moresco won a European trophy despite the fact “Prior to Enzo Maresca's appointment as head coach in June 2024, Chelsea experienced one of the most turbulent periods in their history”
1. He was barely given players for his tactics. Side note - have you ever seen a team win a trophy in December lol

2. Conference league is not a trophy for a club like Chelsea. Maybe for Crystal Palace, but he won it with Chelsea….

It had to happen, we all knew he would probably be going soon. But for me it's been the most beautiful period of my life, seeing my team winning the treble, bettering RM, fucking Liverpool up (so so much), fucking the whole of the PL ... amazing, never thought I would see that. I am so much happier in my life because of it.

So I'm thankful rather than sad, although I am still sad deep down. But our owners, Pep, the club spirit, all came together at the right time to produce something the PL will never see again (unless the engineer it with VAR and pgmo decisions). It's been beautiful.

Next chapter will start soon. I am hopeful we can continue to beat utd and arsenal and Liverpool into 2nd places, and maresca seems a good fit.

Long live City

Pep is quite young, really. Only 55. I wonder what life has in store for him in the future? Managing Messi at Inter Miami?

Might be about time actually

Some years ago he mentioned a break, followed by managing a national team. Surely that's the plan.
Maybe City Group Football will offer Pep a Group Director of Football role worldwide to basically travel around all the clubs in the group to do whatever he wants - get involved as much or a little as he wants to globally, or advising particular clubs in the Group.

Hes gotta go at somepoint. Feel sorry for whoever does come in because he has a squad that lacks quality in my little opinion.

Id rather someone with a but more pedigree than maresca. Does feel like a pellegrini nodding dog type appointment but you never know he might surprise us.

We will hear more about this before Sunday. Still hoping Maresca ain't the final option. It should be Pep one more year and then Enrique..Maresca have no credit in the bank tho if he doesn't deliver in attractive style and trophies in 12 months and Enrique becomes available we have to switch again.

will he put Grealish in the bomb squad like with Sterling at Chelsea? lol
