Pep to leave at the end of the season

I would love for him to extend his contract for two years, until 2029, with a secret clause (that only Khaldoon Al Mubarak will know about) allowing him to leave at the end of next season if he wishes.

That way he'll make a fool of all the media outlets that announced his departure, and he'll reap the rewards of the rebuilding he started this season.

This team only needs two or three players to dominate the Premier League again.

The problem is can they trust some big mouthed twat not to go blabbing to the media like they've done this time?

The issue here is the media has smelt something and have been tying to force it. The club will not bow to the pressure, they will go through their process, at their pace, and make whatever announcement in due course when it’s decided, until then there is nothing to say Maybe they say nothing any how because he’s honouring his contract which doesn’t need to be announced

There is no way he hasn't spoken to khaldoon yet. That was just delaying tactics, he could easily have shut it all down by saying it's all false, he didnt deny any of it, just refused to confirm anything.

Khaldoon should throw all his weight behind finding whoever is responsible for the leak and make sure their association with the club is terminated

I will say this is not Pep or City's style. The club and Pep will 100% know what is happening in the summer, it would have been about 6 months ago that talks happened. That's how football works, you don't just leave the club like this without plans for next season's team of players, coaches and manager already in place,

I think that would be a dreadful waste of the greatest managerial mind ever. Would be like having a prime Lewis Hamilton be Maclarens test driver.
