Liverpool Thread | 2025/26 | Iraola becomes unlikeable (p397)

I was amazed to realise on Saturday that Johnny Stones and Bernado leaving means that the only member of that 2017-18 Centurions still at the club will be Phil Foden. When I think of the legends who have left the club in the intervening years and the dignity with which they have departed and of the affection in which they clearly hold the club I have to contrast with the mean spirited attitude of Salah. Quite clearly the team spirit built not only by Pep but by everyone at the club (remember the celebration of that first title for the cleaning staff and everyone at the club!) has never existed at Anfield. Salah's diatribe seems little more than an attempt to stab Slot in the back and an appeal to the fans to join in. This is not loyalty to the soul of the club but a bitter attempt by a departing, fading ex-star to kick a struggling regime in the teeth. Disunity has clearly been a problem at Liverpool - they can clearly learn lessons from our club.

Thanks! I don’t post here much but I still read this thread sometimes. Shame we had to go and shit the bed against Sunderland. I bet we’ll do it against Spurs as well. I am taking some schadenfreude at Liverpool’s failures though.
If the Chavs beat Spurs tomorrow we need your lot to step and do your bit in the hope WHam can keep their end up vs Lids

I see their ever so upstanding sponsors are classing some humans as 'Lower value human capital'

I wonder how they view the fans.

Well, I am incredibly biased and narrow-minded, so yes, I agree with you. I despise the area, I loathe the football team, and its moronic sub-culture fan base, and I detest Klopp and his White-Cliffs-of-Dover teeth. I believe Liverpool to be the absolute cesspit of England: a festering, putrid compost heap of urine and fecal matter, where the inbred, slack-jawed inhabitants from all the world's sewers are dumped unceremoniously, together in one big stagnant pool of phlegm and vomit and left to fend for themselves.

Disaster is one way of describing it, yes.
But I’d still rather play them than those wwe twats down London
(Salads diving) aside

Anfield transgender guy said he would resign if slot didn't get the sack. Now that it looks like he's staying he's back tracking and sucking up to his viewers.
Bold goblin is just a click bait merchant who makes money out of dipper fans that don't have a clue.

One of the cult on twatter claimed that without Sheikh Mansour,s money, we would be a mid-table Championship club.

I replied that without Littlewoods money, your lot would be just below us.
Same with any of the red cartel spouting off.
We own our history, we know the bad bits, the comedy management etc.
the red cartel fans know diddly about their own dubious history - they all use the word ‘class’ to describe themselves, a misnomer if ever there was.

Crass is much more appropriate.

Just saw something from Robertson about Pep. Got to say that was an unbelievably classy comment from an otherwise utter ****.

I do think now that that era is all over for both of us and now that Arsenal have arrived on the scene, there will be more acknowledgement and mutual respect between the two clubs with regards to the levels both clubs reached.

Don't get me wrong, I hate those vile cultist more than anything but the appropriate respect can now be shown. Arsenals horrific approach to a title and the lack of quality at the pinnacle of this league enables both sides to reognise how exceptional that era was. Both clubs pushed each other to never before seen levels. I don't think we will ever see a 2 way fight of that standard ever again. All made better by the fact that we utterly dominated it too.
