I’m not bothered whether we’re a global powerhouse of a football club though. We’re Manchester City and if local lads and girls can’t watch our club because he’s chasing tourists then that’s not worth the silverware the money has brought in.Soriano & Khaldoon are the reason we are a global powerhouse of a football club. And yeah, if not Soriano it would’ve been someone else, but they can fuck off too . Just look at some of the swings in Barcelona’s attendances before their ground was done up. Full house against Madrid, one man and his dog against the shit teams. That’s what alienating your local support does.
A football club should be the corner stone of a City. I’m not arsed if Giles wants to bring Harvey and Sebastian up from the Home Counties because they’re into football at the moment. They’re welcome, of course, but not at the expense of locals that have been supporters of the club for generations.
An opinion that will divide, but that’s the way I see it.
