I’m not an Englishman so it’s not my problem but I do enjoy watching them play when it’s not against my socceroos. I just feel for some of the players. Lewis Hall especially because he’s been really good this year and he’s gotten replaced by a bench warmer.

They would make exceptions for athletes at a world cup. Anthony Joshua has a criminal record for drug dealing but boxed in USA. Tommy Robinson served prison terms but was there recently with a journalist visa.

Foden has been well below the standards he set himself for most of the season, he hasn’t earned a place in the England squad. Maybe a rest will do him good?

I disagree, fodens numbers are better this season than a fair few in that squad & he's had loads of rest recently so would've been fresh for the world cup & I'd think he'd be absolutely gutted to not be going but from a selfish point of view let's hope he comes back preseason with some fire in his belly to show the jug eared German twat what he's missed!

And there being Jordan fucking Henderson called up is a damn strange choice as well.

If that is the list, then there’s a fair few I wouldn’t be taking: Burn, Lewis Skelley, Quansah, Henderson. Don’t really rate Madueke that much either.
Toney getting the call is a real indictment of the (lack of) quality available. But I would take 3 strikers. Otherwise, you’re only an injury away from having nothing on the bench. There’s space for that in a 26-man squad.
For the same reason, I would take at least one of Palmer or Foden. There’s space for a gamble. And we’re not exactly blessed with creative players that can make things happen, no matter their current form.

The problem is everything else that he does between the boxes.

I think Madueke is complete shite but Fodens been diabolical for 2 years aswell. Bowen can feel aggrieved.
