Sounds like Maresca wants Fernandes but can we accommodate both Anderson and Enzo if Rodri stays? I still want us to get Maza and Anderson personally

I knew he would be you get hints from his interviews the three players he loved was Cucurella, Enzo Fernandez and Palmer. One of those three will be a city player this summer in my opinion.

Doubt any of them will,the only one we might possibly be interested in would be Fernandez,but we are too far down the Anderson road to switch lanes now,and we won't buy both.Also all our targets will have been set for a while knowing Maresca was coming and those won't change.I knew he would be you get hints from his interviews the three players he loved was Cucurella, Enzo Fernandez and Palmer. He has a high work rate, excellent passing, an eye for goal, fights for every ball, wins possession back, and would add some much-needed aggression to our midfield. Him and Anderson would strengthen our midfield massively for years to come.
The only question is his character and attitude. I don’t really know him to judge.

There is a likelihood of Rodri and Kovacic both seeing out their contracts and leaving next summer- Ake, too , following the pattern set in recent years. If we know that is to be the case, then it makes sense to bring in two midfielders this summer and gradually phase out any dependency on them. I would expect any new coach to select with an eye to the future as they forge their own identity.No, even if he doesn't sign a contract Rodri stays and leaves free next summer.

We should sell him to Madrid. Rodri was the best player in the world for probably 2 years, and since then he lost most of his ability. The telltale sign is his shooting. He has completely lost power and the ability to shoot. With his injury record it is time to part ways if he doesn’t agree to reduced wages.
NOR is not the type of midfielder we need right now, pushing him into midfield so soon could be at the detriment of his career. Way too one footed.Why not? He is one of Chelsea’s best players and would allow us to get O’reilly in midfield without wasting money on Anderson.

Why let Kovacic leave on a free when there are clubs wanting to buy him? Same with Ake?

Anderson is a 8, not a 6
Maza also at best is a 8/10
Tchouameni is a pure 6
i think that our biggest issue this season was physicality, i think Tchoaumeni defensive actions and Andersons energy and ball carrying ability could help Cherki and co
long term-ish this could be great solution

It’s not a question of allowing. It’s a question of the players themselves being willing to go rather than waiting. For instance, Kovacic may look at Modric and think that at 32 there is no need to leave England now and move back to Milan. He can wait another season, move for free, and pocket more for himself. Not saying it will happen, nor that I want them to stay, just that there is a likelihood.Why let Kovacic leave on a free when there are clubs wanting to buy him? Same with Ake?
