Pep to leave at the end of the season

Its v v rare in football, or indeed in life actually, where one can remove themselves from the firing line (and lets face it, thats what football management is in this world), and yet be universally met with "yeah ok, you did your job mate, way way beyond what we had even dreamed of tbh". What an era, what a manager. I for one salute you Mr Guardiola, you made my day to day life, happier, you made it joyful, you made me cry with the greatest of feelings. Do whatever the fuck you want forever more, i shall always salute you. You were, are and always be the exact reason we are all in this forum, you are why we love football.. All the arguments, fallings out, the hope, the pain, we do it for one reason, we do it in hope that one day we will win. And you gave us that day. You won mate, you did it. We love you, always.
This.
I remember hugging my eldest boy the night of the Champions league win and saying fuck me we really did it. We won. After all those years of celebrating whatever scraps were left on the football table and never thinking we had much chance of anything other than the occasional promising cup run, we actually did it. We won. We won the lot. And that was down to Pep. Of course the money helped, but it guarantees nothing . It was Peps vision and the way he delivered on it that won all this glory for the club I have loved since being a small boy. Thanks for everything Pep.

What a fabulous way to sign off the fans the players will never forget Pep’s time and how he has shown how much he loves us all and breaths Manchester he gets us. We will never forget your journey which you chose to share with all City fans thank you Pep Guardiola for the memories.

Lord, that speech! He could have read out some boilerplate AI stuff and we'd still have loved him, but instead he writes a beautiful, perceptive tribute to the club, the city and its people. I truly lost it when he spoke about the arena attack and the death of his mum. There will be no one like him again
The reference to losing his mom to Covid hit hard.

It truly is about goodbyes this Sunday with Pep leaving as well.

What a decade we have had with him as a manager. I feel extremely privileged to have witnessed his teams playing for my club. Every Cityfan should.

Hopefully we enter a new area that is again succesfull. I don’t expect us to be an Arsenal after Wenger or a United after Ferguson. We seem to be run to good as a club.

Thank you Pep. You deserve a stand and statue.

I only wish we'd released this on Wednesday morning, and fucked over Arsenal.
No need. Winning the PL on a Tuesday night without even kicking a ball or being at a match is hardly 93:20 is it?
It's already been eclipsed by villa and the delayed Tarquin celebrations will be like the dippers hollow COVID party.
The final chapter of the season will likely be them being brought down to earth and spanked by PSG.

Not seen it confirmed anywhere but the club have just text me and referred to the 'Pep Guardiola Stand'

Nice! Really cool that they've done that.

Edit. Sorry, I'm late to the party.
