Seat Counters 25/26

Having looked at the planner I still there is major algorithm tomfoolery going on.
Yeah, everything in red with low availability apart from 239 and 240.

I reckon those have sold less so some others taken off the planner to shift those.

Considering the last time I looked there were 300/400+ in all Pep Stand blocks this morning, it’s some amount of shifting that has gone, even if that is the case.

Will sell out.

Midweek tickets for lower categories are cheaper, as it stands, this very game, should it be on the weekend, will be the same price. They have frozen ticket prices and then reduced midweek premier league games.

If they sell out Sunday, fantastic, but there will be thousands of young blues from Gorton, Hulme, Wythenshawe and some of the less affluent areas of the Metropolitan County that won’t be there, because their parents can’t afford £80+ to take them, when it should be half that.

Are you saying that certain post codes should be offered tickets while others are not able to purchase those cheap tickets ?

Its a game which is now cat A.
Hence prices

We didn’t sell out vs Chelsea, CAT A, at the same prices this season.

It costs too much. It’s pricing people out.

I don’t understand why that’s hard to grasp.

For the record. I am a season ticket holder and don’t notice it going out, such is the price I pay vs income.

But it’s not about me, I find it sad that a generation of young working class kids might not be able to experience what the rest of us did, when football was more affordable.

It’s interesting that the ticket Facebook pages are flooded with people without memberships wanting tickets, mothers with kids etc. These are the ones who should be filling this new stand and the club should be pushing cheap family season tickets at them. It’s literally pointless offering them to people who already attend most games.

Why don't they join up and buy tickets from the club then rather than on Facebook?

The club surely can’t be concerned with Villa fans buying too. Everything they do is bizarre and actually hurts the club in the long run.

we need to relax ticketing for every game except the obvious ones, lets members have dibs on them initially and then open sale to attract supporters from everywhere. There are kids wearing City shirts all over, give them a chance to see it's not a tv program.

Priority: fill the ground. You do that, and you automatically generate a feel-good factor. A full ground means bigger takings on merchandise and food/drink sales. You get people in the habit of going and make it affordable, so they then want to attend the cup games. It's a snowball effect. OK, I haven't achieved as much in life as Ferran Soriano, but I'm a passionate City fan who talks to other City fans and gut feel can be just as important as business acumen on these matters.

City need to somehow get these people to sign up. They can sign up to facebook but dont want to sign up for memberships obviously cutting cost of the memberships would be great. This needs to improve, obviously people want cheaper tickets but no1 can buy on their behalf or even transfer to them without a membership.

Because these aren't the kind of people that are going to jump through hoops to get to the game. These people would've been the 'Walk ups' in the past. The club have completely lost this kind of fan with memberships.

I'm torn on this one.

I believe it's the case with some clubs that a paid membership still doesn't mean you can buy a ticket, it just gives you entry to the lottery.

We've largely been used to buying a ticket for most games without a problem, and without a membership fee. But we've been the best team in England for a long time and the membership pays for itself if you go to 4 games with the discount and going to 4 games if you're local and want to be at a City game shouldn't be an issue.

Every man and his dog will want to be there for the Cup final or to say goodbye to Pep... buy a membership and buy a ticket then.

This is pretty much the nail on the head

Bonus seat counting drama to finish the season off. Can’t wait for the Cardiff meltdown in August.
New stadium for our seat counters and a new trip for us Berts with a new manager.

Our elite set of counters will rest over the summer and come back fired up for that one in mid-July.

I am very curious as to how you’ve come to the conclusion that is what I meant…

Because you wrote "Thousands of young blues from W, G, and Hulme will not be there"
How do you know that these cheap tickets would not be bought by others with plenty of money unless you had a postcode bias.

You may believe it is a flippant point, but unless you can explain how you would ensure the families you have earmarked for those tickets will get them, then it is not a plan.

The tickets will be sold, I would have paid 50 quid to say goodbye to Pep, Bernardo and Stones without a game being played for the enjoyment I have experienced during his time.
Oap's and Children get discounts.

It would actually give them a chance of going and buying them. What’s the alternative, just price them out so they can’t even try and go???

i am not sure we will rest, we will be making ourselves familiar with the layout, checking the interest amongst fans from June onwards, looking on trivago to see the costs of rooms to see if it's a detterent, monitoring rail prices and times, there is so much that goes on behind the scenes that non seat counters don't know about but rest assured a true seat counter never sleeps

Back in the day there would be thousands of fans who supported other clubs, especially United who would come to games like this, but would never buy a membership, so i see where you are coming from.
