John Stones is the only player left from Guardiola’s first League game, the opening day victory against Sunderland in 16-17, so it would be somewhat fitting if he played the whole match tomorrow.

Oddly enough, the goalkeeper that day, Caballero, looks set to be in the second-in-command chair when the merry go round restarts. ‘It’s a funny old game, Saint…’

Are we giving Villa a guard of honour? I think we should (would be quite amusing if Bernardo joined in). Then its all about Bernado, Johnny Stones, Ake? And Pep.

Dont really care about the result, if we get s goal from each of the four above it would be fitting.

I just want the game done and dusted and to get the aftermath over with. I hate last day of the season anyway, knowing I am not back until August, saying goodbye to some players, not knowing about others.

I’m quite glad there’s a World Cup on to take my mind off things.

What's best way to say goodbye other than using "Treble Formation".
John, Ake, Bernardo, Kovacic are probably goners, so deserve to start.

I'm not there on Sunday I have other commitments but let's make the last day of the season a winning day and hope the predicted sunshine brings out a festival of football.

Last game of the season usually brings out the debate over the "traditional" pitch invasion but this is a day for EVERYONE to stay in their seats so that Pep can receive all the gratitude he deserves without the farewells being held up by a bunch of self-indulgent numpties rolling around on the grass.

Think Villa will step aside for the great man. And probably still be pissed, can’t see anything but a win for the blues to send pep off in style

Yeah me too ......

The only time I have attended the last game of the season when nothing was at stake was vs Everton back in the 70's/80's and it ended 1-3 if my memory serves me right. Would not be surprised at a similar outcome this weekend.

The boys will deliver for Pep

I really hope that the habitual early leavers make an effort to stick around on sunday, to pay tribute to our departing legends. They've got no excuse, really. Monday is a Bank Holiday, so they don't need to be in any hurry to get home to get their 8 hours kip before work and school the next morning. I don't think that's too much to ask, is it?

And yes; I do appreciate the irony of me, who can't be there, asking others to stick around. All I can say in reply is that, if I was there, I wouldn't be leaving early.

Part of me is glad there's nothing riding on this match - we can just enjoy the day and game without having to worry about the small possibility of Arsenal dropping points.
