Aston Villa (H) | PL | Post Match Thread

I’m baffled by that fucking line up. Peps last game at City, a new stand named after him btw looks ace. And he gives the first team the day off. Oh and the first time I have ever been in a 60000 domestic crowd outside Wembley, great effort blues, Yep thanks for everything etc but letting that set of absolute cunts beat us, sorry I’m fucking angry. Or was, calmed down a bit now.
You'll live.

He was helping the new man out in showing where we can improve. Today was not about Villa, the result meant nothing to either team. It was about appreciating a decade of unimaginable success. Be pleased you had that

His speech hit home - he has in the 10 years not just won trophies, but laid the fundamentals, the identity of the club at its core.

Its now down to those going forwards - both managers and players to carry on, to stay with those fundamentals as the core in style of play, but to then improve on them

And he will be watching : )

Nice to finally say goodbye to Eddie and Gundo, just missing David Silva & Raz for a full house
I watched our centurions season goals yesterday and Raheem Sterling stood out to me. I wish we'd give him the credit he deserves. An uncanny knack of knowing where to be and the speed and smartness of movement like no other for those 3 years at his peak.
