Those cups are really 4 - 5th in pecking order now.. No 1 = prem league No 2= chumps league No 3 = qualify for chumps league No 4: any of the tin pot Euro League / Conf League (the way the 'meeja' goes on) 5 = Fa c Cup and poor 6th = Leagues cup (soon to be overtaken and pushed into 7th IF arsenal win the charity shield).. so next season I hope Enzo sacks these off and tries to sort out a squad that can compete at top table table in chumps and Prem...lot of dead wood to clear outAnd we still did a domestic cup double!

This is the crux of it nowNot arsed re the result but let’s be honest that was a diabolical performance to send the great man off with.
Bottom line is the “squad” players are absolutely wank and we have a lot of work to do to get back to the days of having “two first teams” and a bench where every player would walk into everyone else’s first 11.
Reijnders, Gonzalez, Lewis, Marmoush, Savinho simply cannot be here next season. Nowhere near the level to win leagues and CLs.
I’ll save my thoughts on the day/send offs for other threads.

I couldn't disagree more because it was relative. The fight and winning mentality that the team had to do the domestic cup double after all they'd won over the past 10 years was the perfect send off for the players leaving and that manager. Also I'll be fucked if I'll join in the bollocks that is the tearing down of the FA Cup by corporate bollocks and advertising. It's still the perfect competition me and to win it after those 2 defeats was cathartic and amazing.

Well, it was pretty obvious that Foden was gonna break through that line and thrash the ball into the roof of the net with his arse. PL refereeing on and off the pitch is just abominable. Just another way to disallow one of our goals.No one became a football fan in the hope that one day this would be given as offside in an otherwise emotional but nothing goal on the last day of the season.

One thing I really respected about Pep is that from the off he emphasized focusing on each and every match. Not playing for the trophy at the end, but simply playing to win each match one by one.
