The game itself.......meh. I think both sets of players would have taken a draw before the game to have not bothered. Won't read too much into the team selection, performances, and the less said about VAR the better.

The after match stuff though, superb. City always do send offs and tributes so well. Classy, classy club. Great to give Ederson and Gundogan the applause they deserved, Stones and Silva waved off like the heroes they are and as for Pep.......I'm not crying, you're crying. I know he's gone now but it still doesn't feel like he's gone, and won't until I'm next at a game and there's someone else stood at the side of the pitch.
 
I didn’t get to watch any of it today as working but heard a little about the video tributes - did Sergio record one?

One of the worst things about modern football is people valuing top 4 qualification above winning fucking trophies
 
Just got back from the match , and our club are class , from the owners down they created a great day , the match was of no consequence , a sideshow ,and after tomorrow's parade a new era starts.
Surprisingly i didnt turn into a blubbering wreck and just appreciated our supporters , 60k with a few ungracious Villa fans , an occasion i will never forget and a manager who will be remembered for an eternity
 
Draining day. Wish the game hadn't happened. Unsure where the club go from here but I'll be watching all of it. Roll on August now.

Domestic Cups are from the toughest and biggest league in the world. The Europa trophies are midtable bollocks.

We beat Brentford, Newcastle, Arsenal, Newcastle, Liverpool and Chelsea to win those two domestic trophies. That’s a harder run than anyone has ever had in any Europa bullshit.
