Elliot Anderson | Opening bid rejected (p189)

Utd closing on on Ederson from Atalanta. He is touted as a replacement for Casemiro but Ederson is not in the Brazilian national squad and Casemiro is.

Anyway, this makes it more likely that City can sign Anderson.
 
United have wasted so much money on rubbish it looks like they’ve lost their confidence when it comes to signing someone who’s objectively top class

Also as I’ve said before we get the impression Marinakis doesn’t like dealing with United after they messed us about on a couple of previous signings. Suspect Forest would rather deal with City FWIW.

I have to defend Kova a bit. He's done, more or less, the job he was brought in to do. Nobody could have expected him to do much more, especially without Rodri beside him. And at the stage in his career that he's at, i.e. the evening of it.
The others, however, have been distinctly underwhelming. Nico G has had some good games, to be fair.

What makes you think Maresca didn’t know how we worked or that he had any interest in Fernandez. He’ll have know our transfer targets for weeks. So Maresca doesn’t need any lessons on respecting how the club operates.

I don't know, all the rough arsed players they've signed are adapting quite well to the rough arsed football they are playing. All condoned by the Premier League, not any wonder English football is fooked. Wouldn't be surprised if that's why Pep pissed off.

He'll play as a 6 for England but I think he's much better as an 8. He's a better player than Rice in my opinion, and obviously got plenty of room to develop further. I'm excited to see how he'd work alongside Rodri but for me he'll help our defence be less exposed and our attack take more risks.

Remember when we’d be linked to players and they’d end up signing for Utd or Chelsea? Now we are linked to players and Utd and Chelsea “walked away”.
