It would have been great if the other groups had joined to make this a BLUE WALL. We could have had a much better atmosphere, but instead we have not got three different sections singing at different times

Fans will migrate there because of the noise and because of the fanzone.
 
Make tickets affordable and prioritise local fans and you’ll get an atmosphere but the club aren’t arsed. Next year it’ll still be £60-70 for a single match ticket. It’s a joke.

Safe standing season tickets are £745 just because they are halfway down the sides of NSL2. The alternative was to put all safe standing season tickets together across the back of NSL2 and make them all £425. The club chose not to do that. The side safe standing season tickets are the same price as the seated centre season tickets.

Nothing to do with how much match day tickets were last season and will be next season though.

I never said it was.

Match day tickets were more expensive.

The fan protests brought the prices of match day tickets down.

That’s why the are cheaper now, not because the directors decided to make them cheaper out of the goodness of their hearts.

The directors had to react to the fans protests about match day tickets prices, and after their boss, Khaldoon, intervened personally.

Without the fans protests match day tickets would still be more expensive than they are now.

Seem to be at cross purposes, the post I replied to said match tickets were £60- £70 and would be again next season I was pointing out they weren't last season and won’t be next season,for the reasons you mention. Last season the match day tickets I bought ranged from £39- £56.

The Aston Villa game was a one off in terms of those sat in the North Stand expansion. From what I have seen/heard there are a lot of people moving there with the intention of making some noise.

Hopefully it is successful. Our away fans make a racket, it only needs a couple of thousand and others will join in as it spreads around.
 
I'm looking to relocate to the Pep stand in the safe standing area for some proper atmosphere, which block/rows/areas are the singing groups likely to be based in please?

Why do you want to prioritise local fans ?

For many of us City is a whole day experience, Travel long distances at great cost, do you think we are not good enough to add to the atmosphere ?

Why would more local fans crate an atmosphere. People that work in a city earn a lot more than people that live in rural areas. This will not go down well with this thread, but a lot on here want some
thing for nothing. I think you will find that City tickets are a lot cheaper than most.

The Blue Wall was never going to happen.

It was always going to be diluted by hospitality, corporate, normal ticket holders with no interest in making it a hostile home end and tourists.

It also puts it up there right away for criticism as it will never be as atmospheric as the real Yellow Wall,

That said I hope whoever goes there gets organised and gets a crowd big enough to make a regular atmosphere to compliment the atmosphere from the South Stand - 500 to a thousand singers closely located should be enough to encourage others in the stand to make noise.

To be fair I thought the atmosphere last week was fantastic with noise coming from both sides and from the East Stand as well. That said a Blue Wall would be immense. Perhaps it could be done for European nights when it is easier to relocate seats from other areas. The ground certainly looks as good as anywhere in the PL now.

Doesn’t Manchester have some of the highest poverty rates/ poorest areas in the north west?

Some of our tickets are affordable, but lots aren’t and if it wasn’t for the fan protests they’d probably be higher.
