The Squad planning thread

Semenyo , Guehi , Anderson and now linked to Porro seems we have a strategy to recruit from within the league so if we are after a winger it will probably be one from within the league.

Could pick up Harry Wilson for free. People will scoff, but if you’re looking for a player who is positionally versatile, knows the league, and can both score and assist, then he’s pretty solid. Granted he’s 29, but we’re unlikely to get someone who can start ahead of Doku/Semeyo, so maybe a bridging type player would suffice if Savinho departs.

Maybe Bowen? West Ham just got relegated he's a good right wing option.

Possibly, but he’s contracted so would cost, whereas Wilson is free. Unless they need to sell, I sense Bowen will stay and help West Ham fight for promotion.

True I think that too , I think someone on here a couple weeks back said something about Summerville that would be interesting.

Kevin Shade is very good Brentford in talks for that El Mala guy we were interested in
Also really like Sarr from Palace

Good point but does it automatically mean he'll always be injury prone ?, He's played a hell of a lot of elite games for his age which is down to his talent. If he had a chronic problem he wouldn't pass the transfer medical. Some players struggle more at the start of their career, on the other hand JS struggled a lot more from 28 onwards. There are no guarantees, look what happened to Isaak....
Are you related to him by chance lmao ? He’s had two knee injuries AND a hamstring in one season. When a player has those kinds of injuries it results in the higher likelihood of setbacks which he’s had. Ergo, he cannot string a couple games together, you know who that sounds like ? John Stones but he was 30+.

The red flags are so big when you factor in that players now are playing more games than ever before with even more intensity. There is no room for part time footballers that earn big wages in the physio chair.

Isak is a good pull same goes for Robben who missed about 1500 games over his career due to injuries but he’s still a great. But certain injuries can ruin you especially knee injuries, look at Neymar, Thiago, Puyol, Hazard I’ve seen a few survive it and thrive (CR7 and KDB to an extent) the evidence is there.

Would rather spend that cash on Givario and not have to put him in bubble wrap every 3 games
