Could pick up Harry Wilson for free. People will scoff, but if you’re looking for a player who is positionally versatile, knows the league, and can both score and assist, then he’s pretty solid. Granted he’s 29, but we’re unlikely to get someone who can start ahead of Doku/Semeyo, so maybe a bridging type player would suffice if Savinho departs.

Wouldn’t be ‘fancy’ enough for some on here, but if we’re dispensing with Savinho’s services, then we can hardly waste another season on someone coming from abroad and taking yet another year, or more, to acclimate.

Harry Wilson has had two good seasons in five years at Fulham and one of them was in the championship. He’s 29 years old with one above average PL season, he wouldn’t cut it at Villa let alone City. Another person suggested Ismaila Sarr, who is 28 and injury prone.

Do you sign another backup striker, or just commit to using Semenyo and/or a false 9 when Haaland can't play? Do you sign a winger, or two? What kind of age and price range? Is it worth taking a look at the likes of Echeverri and McAidoo in pre-season and potentially saving ourselves £50m if Maresca likes them?

Maybe Maresca will re integrate Jack, so we can rotate him and and Doku on the left wing, not bad hey. I suspect blue dips will seriously take the piss with offers for super Jack, if they are nowhere near our asking price he could stay. Grealish has 2 years left on his contract.

He signed a 6 year deal in 2021 and never extended, so he's in his last year now.
