Pedro Porro

50 million they want , if we pay that he’s not coming in as a back up option. Why would he go from starting right back at Spurs to a rotation option.

He’s been picked by Viana and Maresca because he fits the system Maresca wants to play.

Agreed, Viana signed him once before and knows exactly what he is getting. If he comes in, he is the new RB imo.

Spurs are desperate to get rid of half their squad, this sounds more like them trying to offload a player that they don't rate, or they believe is a disruptive influence.

Porro has been an integral part of a team that's finished 17 for the last 2 seasons, no thanks.

We arent a dumping ground mate? Viana also isnt one to be pushed around! If he wants Porro then its because he is the chosen one as £50m would EASILY get one of our other targets.

What about the Palestra guy? He seems to have higher ceiling.
If we reflect on the impact that both Guehi and Semenyo had on our season, then I think it’s clear that we can no longer afford to carry players for 12-18 months while they get up to speed with the League.

To different degrees, we’re already carrying Gonzalez, Reijnders, Cherki, and Marmoush- all of whom I expect to see improve- so we need to prioritise tried and tested.

Hence the Porro deal. Could be quick as well this by the sounds of it with the Savinho talks ongoing.

Yet at the same time he’s become Spain’s mainstay right back. If Porro hadn’t been there, Spurs might have been looking forward to Lincoln City and Wrexham next season.

Rumored interest. Would be a handy backup but at his age would he really be keen to play second fiddle? £50M also too much for me given his role.

He would obviously be signed to be our first choice RB (if we sign him).

Going to be doing more business with spurs this summer , their sources saying they want Marmoush after Savinho. So we might get Porro cheaper

I`d prefer either Maresca to look at him first or sell him out of the league personally.

I’ve got a feeling that you’ll only see any Gonzalez and Reijnders improvement, if you’re watching teams other than City…

Perhaps. I think much will depend on the style of football we choose to play. With no Silva and both Rodri and Kovacic less dependable, the midfield is going to be more mobile and be able collectively to get up and down the pitch faster than before, which will be especially the case if we sign Anderson. In those circumstances, Gonzalez and Reijnders might yet thrive. We’ll see.

Not having this whatsoever. Need an understudy to Nunes. Not been impressed with Porro at all.

Seems an odd one.

Got rave reviews thought he was coming here now gets a lot of the blame for what’s gone on at Spurs so worrying signing. Would rather go for some of the other suggested

However if spurs want some of our players and a good deal can be done maybe it makes sense tho not at that price.

On the one hand I would think he might be able to invert like to push forward players who have played in Portugal fit the bill on the other I thought he was more likely to stay out wide but maybe that’s the plan have 2 attacking fullbacks in RAN and Porro and two inverts in o Reilly and Nunes ?

Maybe Nunes is going back to midfield with doubts over Rodri, Gonzales, Kovacic and Bernardo gone in which case we could still be after Porro and one of the other target RB
