What about the Palestra guy? He seems to have higher ceiling.Porro is considerably better than Lewis as well.

As a right back, yes. He’s also a better attacking threat to Khusanov.Porro is considerably better than Lewis as well.

50 million they want , if we pay that he’s not coming in as a back up option. Why would he go from starting right back at Spurs to a rotation option.
He’s been picked by Viana and Maresca because he fits the system Maresca wants to play.
Spurs are desperate to get rid of half their squad, this sounds more like them trying to offload a player that they don't rate, or they believe is a disruptive influence.
Porro has been an integral part of a team that's finished 17 for the last 2 seasons, no thanks.
If we reflect on the impact that both Guehi and Semenyo had on our season, then I think it’s clear that we can no longer afford to carry players for 12-18 months while they get up to speed with the League. What about the Palestra guy? He seems to have higher ceiling.

To different degrees, we’re already carrying Gonzalez, Reijnders, Cherki, and Marmoush- all of whom I expect to see improve- so we need to prioritise tried and tested.
By that logic I assume you think Anderson is awful as well? There's a reason spurs were fighting relagation with the likes of him in the squad.
Yet at the same time he’s become Spain’s mainstay right back. Rumored interest. Would be a handy backup but at his age would he really be keen to play second fiddle? £50M also too much for me given his role.
Going to be doing more business with spurs this summer , their sources saying they want Marmoush after Savinho. So we might get Porro cheaper
I’ve got a feeling that you’ll only see any Gonzalez and Reijnders improvement, if you’re watching teams other than City…If we reflect on the impact that both Guehi and Semenyo had on our season, then I think it’s clear that we can no longer afford to carry players for 12-18 months while they get up to speed with the League.

yeah ,if we are going for depth ,go for a younger one.We shouldn't be paying £50M for depth though. If we can get him for half that, then fair enough.
Perhaps. I think much will depend on the style of football we choose to play. With no Silva and both Rodri and Kovacic less dependable, the midfield is going to be more mobile and be able collectively to get up and down the pitch faster than before, which will be especially the case if we sign Anderson. In those circumstances, Gonzalez and Reijnders might yet thrive. We’ll see.I’ve got a feeling that you’ll only see any Gonzalez and Reijnders improvement, if you’re watching teams other than City…
