Funny how Starmer comes out with the notion that this game should be free-to-air! Did he expound the same sentiments at the end of other seasons?
 
PSG are no doubt slight favourites but I suspect folk hoping for an Inter-style thrashing will be left disappointed.

The worry for PSG is they are basically a team of midgets so they need to avoid giving away set pieces. On the flip side they are incredible at playing through the lines.

I've got a feeling the returning Mikel Merino will come off the bench and make a big impact.

Probably not since its been free to air for decades up until this year. TNT seem to have cried and taken their ball home since they're losing UCL rights to Paramount.
 
Sure i saw somewhere that their parade is on Sunday. Would certainly mar their occasion if they were doing it the day after being slapped about by Luis Enrique's outfit.

It won't. We're chuffed with the league and the CL is a free hit. We always wanted the PL first and foremost.

And the only 'slapping' we've had all season was the 1st 20 mins of the 2nd half of the Carabao final when City were on it and we weren't at full tilt. I don't think PSG are able to match that intensity even if they are able to find gaps effectively.

Perhaps i'm wrong (it has been known), but a CL final surely is not a free hit. It's an opportunity to win the biggest prize in club football! I don't for one second believe the club and the fans won't be bothered that they did not win should they get beaten?

He didn’t need to, as it’s always been free-to-air previously.

It's not a free hit and believe me it will hurt if you lost. You'll get over it and I agree it won't spoil the parade as such, but it would take some of the gloss off.

I think you've got a good chance in the final with your defensive structure and set pieces. It's whether your players can put in a performances. We've been poor in both of our CL finals, one likely because of the complete change in tactics/lineup and one because of what was at stake with the treble.

Considering PSG hadn't won it before, they were exceptional last year. I'm yet to be convinced your players have that big game mentality. You'll take confidence from winning the league, but there was a lot of nervousness and some shaky moments in the Burnley and West Ham games. In the League Cup final you started okay but were abysmal second half.

I wouldn't have said we played with intensity in that final, we sat off you and you just gave the ball back to us and we boxed you in. PSG's players are well rested, I think they'll be much more aggressive and intense on and off the ball than we were.

We boxed you in is a great description of what we did, when their ‘keeper had the ball.
