PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Exactly, we’ve lived the actual experience and the emotions that came with it, all safely locked away forever in our psyche.

No ‘panel’ can ever take those away, regardless of the verdict.
Yes we've lived the winning experience, but we're also experts in being total fuck ups, we don't give a shit, high or low, good and bad, we've been there, done that and got the badge.

Even if they managed to blag something against us, we'd still be here, either fighting for the title, or fighting to get back to get fighting for the title (and fucking loving it)

Their whole purpose from day one was to try and break us, but they really haven't and they really never can.

The most important element here is that City will already know if they’ve broken any rules. City won’t need charges, a panel or a big debate on Talksport to tell them this. They’ll already have known. Let’s not lose sight of City’s public response of irrefutable evidence and putting this shit to bed once and for all. In my opinion if City knew they’d been naughty they’d have coughed it, entered into a plea bargain type scenario and asked for proceedings to be conducted in private. There’s no way they’d have stood on and come out with the irrefutable line and dragged the club through a public mud slinging for years.

I’m extremely well versed in court cases having participated in and given evidence in, around 200 with my job. If I can hear the evidence and read the room, I’m 100% sure a collection of KCs can.

Every KC in that room will have formed a global view and probably a micro view re each charge as the hearing unfolded. You are right to say they cannot “know” what the outcome is going to be, but they will very well know which way the wind has blown and how the decision is very likely to go. These charges are not like a criminal trial where doubt can be introduced. These charges are binary. You either have breached a rule or you haven’t. There can’t be any “erm, well, I’m not sure, what do you think about it?” in play. You’ve either breached a rule or you haven’t.

Given this, the KCs can be as sure as they can be, in lieu of an official verdict.

City will have debriefed with their legal team and all business manoeuvres since then will have been based on the KCs and City’s top men’s hearing of the evidence and their reading of that room. In my opinion, City’s commercial activity since looks like a club with supreme confidence that nothing serious is coming their way. In fact, it just looks like business as usual.

My own view is that it cannot possibly have taken this long to provide the parties with the outcome. I know there are various schools of thought on both sides but for me, nah, I’m not having it.

I can’t explain the silence though. There must be something going on we don’t know about.

Or that we don't KNOW about .....

I’ve read that of the 115 charges we’ve been found guilty of 167 of them and our sanctions are as follows:

a) 100 point deduction every year for 10 years

b) £2.3 billion fine

c) stature of Vinny to be replaced by statue of Bruno Fernandes

d) city players to form guard of honour every time they play united

e) Tunnel Club to be renamed “You cheating bastards” club.

Make of that what you will.

We are fecking doomed. Just been on Faceache again and Rupert from Ruislip, Gupta from Gujarat and Odin Osmussssssssen from Oslo have published the absolute truth.
* Pep has defo left because he knows what’s coming.
* The Saudis will be forced to sell.
* all three have read somewhere we face a 60 point deduction so it must be true.
* Elliot Anderson is a better fit at United coz they are better at PR than us.

Without getting into a debate on each presumption - absolutely none of that equates to the club knowing the outcome.

Not bothered with whatever happens, I would enjoy a romp through the Championship if that's what is ordered up. Some dodgy accounting, allegedly, can't take away the Yaya goal v Stoke or the Aguero moment or the Rodri banger, or the 4-in-a-row
That is exactly what I say to the dicks who tell it will all go in the bin. Memories will last a lifetime regardless. The Istanbul trip I was lucky enough to be on etc etc. And some bullshit fine for non cooperation will do me because the process was bent and sensitive info leaked from us so why cooperate.I can’t see us avoiding that as Masters has to have something but obviously hope for 115 items all kicked out.

Hence why one of my fav chants we do is “going up, and going down” reflects that awful Alan ball and others era morphed into a don’t give a fuck attitude to whatever happens these days.

Anything but (c) - and (d) for that matter.

Of course we won't know for sure until we get the formal verdict but let's imagine a scenario in the hearing where the Mancini Al-Jazira contract is being discussed.

Apparently Mancini wasn't called as a witness (which might or might not tell us something about the strength of the PL's case). It's up to the PL to make their case, not for us to make ours, but let's say that the PL did produce some evidence indicating that the contract was (in their view) a sham, but we were able to show irrefutably that Mancini (or his representatives) fulfilled the terms of that contract completely. We'd be pretty confident we'd won that argument

Or the Fordham payments, where we could refute the PL charges and show that the payments had been properly declared to UEFA under FFP reporting, and that even if we'd paid them directly, there would have been no impact on PSR/FFP. It might be we'd get a slap on the wrist for slightly underdeclaring expenses possibly. However we also know that Fordham wasn't a deliberate attempt to hide expenses, but to generate revenue in the 2013 financial year. We could also show that UEFA knew about these payments by 2015, but no charges followed. Of course the PL panel would be free to make up it's own mind but, again, the PL would need to make their case on the balance of probabilities. And even that most cautious of commentators, Stefan, doesn't think they'll be able to do this.

So yes, we won't "know the outcome" but we should have a reasonable idea.

I agree! We are making the same point.

I reckon the 115 should be spread throughout the CFG. What is it 12/13 teams? Fuck it throw in the women’s and under 18s.

So what 15 teams so that’s about 7.5 charges each.

Can’t relegate city for only 7 charges when:

1 is not cutting the grass
2 not wearing red
3 not a financial cheating chav
4 not in £650 mill debt
5. Not using shareholders loan to buy players
6. Not sportwashed by standard charter.

So that’s only 1 charge left of no co operation and telling the fucking bent twats to do one.

Call it £115 pound and close the case.

You almost had me until you mentioned the Saudis.
Fucking Saudis! We aren’t owned by Saudis.
Our owner from Kuwait never gets the credit he and his country / state deserve.
