I don't agree with the verdict but we weren't party to everything and beyond all reasonable doubt means just that-for people to think its some great conspiracy or woke judges, or biased jury members or Starmer is all just hand wringing noise. The CPS decided to drop it after 2 goes.
Well it’s open season on the police now if you just claim self defence and fear for your life

It's artificially inflated nonsense to drive division and you are all falling for it. Someone gets nicked for assaulting a copper in every town in the country every night and nobody cares apart from the parties involved.
People played down the actions of that **** who sledgehammered Sergeant Kate Evans in the back n’all.

Rightful outrage seems to be met with ‘but you’re falling for people trying to divide us’ very often these days.

yeah, that could be a problem..but pretty much nobody's ever done anything wrong when they come into contact with the police-its a thankless task-glad I'm out of it.

Not to this degree of violence.
As much as the verdict baffles me too, if you were on the concourse at Oakwell in 2000 there was some serious shit that went on. While the police certainly instigated it, the retaliation from some of our fans was equally, if not more, violent. To my knowledge, surprisingly nobody went to court for it.

It would be interesting to find out who is paying the defence lawyers in this case.
Bearing in mind that the younger brother is a student, with little income ,they must have run up a substantial legal bill, in fact I believe Imran Khan ( ex cricketer) was part of the legal team.
So their lawyers have either worked for free, the 2 brothers are in huge debt and will be paying legal fees for years, or the Muslim community in Rochdale have done a crowd funding exercise and all chipped in to help them.
Or a combination of all of these .
Imran Khan is currently in prison in Pakistan.

II don't follow conspiracies. But I'm sure I heard it in the news recently. I could be wrong!
you are wrong-the plan was to divert less serious crimes to magistrates so that they could start clearing the backlog-it can take years to get a trial to court now-and by then many fall by the wayside-but it wasn't all jury trials by any means..

Imran Khan KC. Not Imran Khan the ex cricketer. He wont have come cheap, and they will have paid him themselves
