That could take months.I think City may want to make a settlement with Chelsea before they appoint Maresca, to head off potential actions.

Goes back to my point. What did Arteta do in management before he was appointed at Arsenal?Too many people writing off Enzo. Although sacked for not being in the promotion spots in November at Parma - with a brand new side, that's hardly a failure with only a few months in the job. First year in management in this country - takes over relegated Leicester and wins the Championship. Takes over at crackpot club Chelsea - wins the Europa Conference and World Club Championship within just over a year of joining. Falls out with Chelsea's crazy owners and has issues with the medical team - leaves the club. Any other young/young-ish coach achieving those things on the pitch would be quickly snapped up by a top club.
There's a big tactical overlap with Pep - after all Enzo is part of the evolution of our set up. The similarities are the CBs drawing opponents onto them - tempting the 'jump' and causing them to lose their shape - keeping the ball in wide areas to draw the opponents in before switching the play - inverted FBs, fluid CBs and playing in the pockets. But from seeing how Chelsea played under Enzo, I can see him wanting our wingers to operate from further back than they do now. I can see Haaland playing as a more traditional CF. As for the GK, I can see Enzo wanting us playing us out from the back as we do now, but with the occasional precision 'long pass' like we used to do with Eddie. Although Donna and James (likely to leave) are better with their feet than they're given credit for, neither do the longer range precision pass. The GK situation will be interesting to watch unfold as will the DM position as from what I can see he likes his DMs to be very mobile whereas Rodri makes the ball do the work - in the right place, right time, sees things before they happen - switches the play left and right.
Enzo also appears to be a very quietly confident guy who will put big demands on our players. He has some big characters to manage.............. AND NEW SIGNINGS TO MAKE TO REPLACE OUTGOING LEGENDS.
I am wary that this is an issue. The journalists who report on Chelsea have said that Chelsea are going to seek compensation if City try to appoint Maresca. That could take months.

They'll cut in line. They can get in line.
City should tell chelsea to STFU in my opinion. They wouldn't agree to things he wanted, so he left them, that's their issue not ours.I think City may want to make a settlement with Chelsea before they appoint Maresca, to head off potential actions.
Cas it’s all a load of shite clickbaitIt's crazy that the new guy hasn't even been appointed yet, but he's already brought back Grealish, and Diaz, binned our first choice keeper, let our second choice keeper go be a no.1, sold Rodri, swapped where Semenyo plays, and brough in half of his barely 1.5 year old Chelsea team.
The media carrying on stirring the shit storm they started just before we kicked off against BournemouthIt's crazy that the new guy hasn't even been appointed yet, but he's already brought back Grealish, and Diaz, binned our first choice keeper, let our second choice keeper go be a no.1, sold Rodri, swapped where Semenyo plays, and brough in half of his barely 1.5 year old Chelsea team.
The BBC claim that Maresca twice informed CFC of discussions with CityCity should tell chelsea to STFU in my opinion. They wouldn't agree to things he wanted, so he left them, that's their issue not ours.
How would they know what he said ? If they told me today was Saturday, I'd still check. The BBC claim that Maresca twice informed CFC of discussions with City

Well I think if City did contact Maresca whilst he was a coach at CFC, then there is a potential problem that needs to be closed off.Is this the same BBC who reported that Enzo left by mutual agreement??
Isn't the noise that he had a clause in his contract that he could talk to City, but Chelsea didn't like it when he did so.Well I think if City did contact Maresca whilst he was a coach at CFC, then there is a potential problem that needs to be closed off.
It's all bloody hearsay, maybe they can report us to the PL and we'll get charged !Isn't the noise that he had a clause in his contract that he could talk to City, but Chelsea didn't like it when he did so.
Can't see that. If Chelsea are entitled to anything at all it will be very clearly stated in maresca contract/ severance terms in order to make it binding. That could take months.
Absolutely this.Won’t the issue be Marescas and the conditions in his termination agreement? It will be for Maresca to settle although we might have to pay Maresca so he can pay Chelsea.
