MPG have just acquired the CIS tower.(see PNW link below)

They haven’t got a great track record of delivering proposals. (New Town Square)

They mainly land bank and sell the land on without delivering their proposals.

Why would anybody invest in a pub that’s primary function is to open for a couple of hours 20 times a year ?? Even then might not actually be busy for those couple of hours.

Because fuck the away fans.

I want them walking through narrow and dark alleyways full of uneven paving and puddles, before getting to a single turnstyle taking forever because of overzealous security checks. Once through there, they arrive at a single concession stand that has run out of chips and only sells warm Heineken.

Does that make me a horrible person? Probably.
 
Meanwhile, in the US, this is getting built on a car park that is next to the ground

This is why they need to do something with Philips Park, it would help bring people in and also be a place to visit for the new houses being built

That’s in the City part of the Etihad Campus, and will be for City fans only, if the brewery happens, which I haven’t heard about.

As I posted, Lexstar, the club and the police want away fans going straight into the ground, not drinking and hanging around outside in the away compound.

You are bang on with that mate. Why the fuck should the club spend any money on away fans. Fucking ludicrous.
 
Watching the Women’s FA Cup loads of praise to Brighton before going on to us. One thing mentioned was them developing their own women’s only Stadium. Could we fit one on the Campus ? Would increase attendance. Was hoping they would end up playing games at The Etihad but it’s getting bigger and bigger so don’t think that’s practical. Starting from scratch could allow us to build something amazing. That’s caters to families and women and all different groups more. Could make a really interesting design that’s was technologically advanced and environmentally friendly. Perhaps a retractable roof ? Then more concerts entertainment and conferencing facilities ?

Have any of the rumored designs looked like they have anything like this ?
