Look, we are not even a good team anymore. We are about 5th or at 6th best at test levels, that is all down to Bazball and the crazy idea of the home of cricket (ECB) allowing it to unfold and never questioned, even after the ashes

We are an excellent side. Not the best in the world, but with a lot of good players and positively a lot of young talent.

The scheduling and IPL is an issue, undoubtedly. But it's the same for the majority of teams.

Plenty of the team have had county cricket to prepare for this and if you'd watched the match so far you'd have seen how hard batting was. The variable bounce and movement makes it so tough, particularly at Lords and against such a good attack.

Calm it down and wait to see how things evolve over the summer.

Not sure what made me do it, but I checked NZ's lowest test score. They're okay, they're past their lowest (26 vs England in 1955). But their next lowest scores could be in danger. 42, 45, 57 and 64 make up the top (bottom?) five.

It isn’t possible as the lowest it can be is 150, I think.

Not sure the pitch will have time to improve, the rate this game is going.
