It's tonight
Peter Hook and Buzzcocks
Celebrating 50 years since the Sex Pistols gig in Manchester Free Trade Hall
Last "gig" at the FTH I went to was my school speech/prize day, had it there every year.
Always finished with the school song, "Jerusalem." Think they'll be doing that one tonight? :-)

Just had the bailiff's call...thousands I owe. I can't deal with it...they can all fuck right off. I've got no money...take it out on my face if you wish. I'm way too tired to deal with anything these days. I'm rotting away at home due to long covid. I can still walk...just.

“A randomised trial found that fluvoxamine, a common antidepressant, reduced fatigue and improved quality of life in adults with Long COVID, while metformin (a diabetes drug) showed no benefit. There isn’t any breakthroughs online that I can find.

The study enrolled 399 adults in Brazil with Long COVID with symptoms lasting at least 90 days after SARS-CoV-2 infection.

Researchers say the findings offer one of the first robust signals for a treatment targeting one of Long COVID’s most disabling symptoms“

I had a look on line for anything new I discovered the above ^ don’t know if you tried anything new.?

It’s an empathy like from me as well Mark :( although likes won’t pay the bills when your struggling, I remember you’re suffering from long Covid you was physically fit before it. I hope your claiming everything you’re entitled to :)

Yeah...the bills will get sorted eventually. It's slow progress with my memory these days. I'll ask my doctor about fluvoxamine, as I'm already on similar medication. I was going to try metformin, possibly in the future. At least they now know it has no effect.Thanks. :)))

Good story from the French Open Tennis tournament. Maja Chwalinska, 24, is in the final after saying five years ago that she had quit tennis. She went into deep depression and for a long time was so low she barely get out of bed. She took up running and boxing and eventually came back to tennis. She has a small tattoo "Free" on her hand but says she keeps its meaning to herself. Full story on BBC Sport. Hope she wins the whole thing.

Just been researching... I can get assisted dying because of my long COVID! Not in the UK, obviously. good to know there IS a way out. Apparently the suicide rate from long covid victims is high. Not that I want to end my life.
I have just caught up with your posts. Once your health goes so much shit happens as a result, i am in the same boat with debt racking up trying to sort the damp rooms out and last week a triple whammy of crappy new health conditions and merlin has dropped two kilos since January when the flood happened and is on a sedative for his anxiety and kitten food for the calories and he is eating a bit more. Fuck me it never rains but it pours!

I know it is hard going for you and i am very sorry you are still suffering so badly, you are never alone with us here snd there has been some good advice given above that i hope helps you out, stay strong lovely xx

Thanks, Kaz. I know how you feel with you losing interest in so much. I can't get excited about ANYTHING anymore. It's difficult when you're so fucking tired! Going for a week in Wales next week. I should be looking forward to it, but a lot of the time will just be me lying down!
I bury my head in the sand now too...i've started throwing any letters/bills straight into the bin. I'm too tired for stress. I've asked at my docs and they've given me contact with a welfare rights worker who will be able to help me. Sleeepy sleepy time...

There is nothing wrong with having a break now and again and resting, i am doing it as well but you must get going again as you dont need more problems to cope with, i am with you all the way x

Where to Get Help & Advice
Navigating the system can be highly complex. You can receive free, confidential guidance and assistance from the following organizations:
  • GOV.UK: Access official guidance on all DWP state benefits, check eligibility, and apply online.
  • Citizens Advice: Find local branch assistance or use their national advice line at 0808 278 7803 to fill out forms and handle appeals.
  • Turn2us: Use their free online benefits calculator to find out exactly what you could claim and how much you are entitled to.
  • CPAG: Access specialized Child Poverty Action Group resources and online handbooks if you are helping someone as an adviser.

  • Disability Rights UK: Use their advice services and guides to navigate disability-specific benefits and tribunal representations
If you are disabled and starting to build up debt, then you need to claim every penny by getting advice and help to fill in the forms, which can be daunting when you are sick.

I like sitting in my garden on a sunday afternoon, a spliff and I go to Tellytubby land.

No no and no again !
It certainly has a place for debilitating illness and or avoidance of palliative care.

We watched a documentary the other night made by an Australian young amateur film maker, who followed her Grandmother on her final journey and not a dry eye was to be seen in the house. A peaceful dignified end with her family close by her side. In a civilized society no one should have to suffer with a protracted out.

Hope your keeping as well as can be expected and do take care, your a credit to our forum.

I have the intellectual nuance of a turnip, so just occasionally interjected with "that would be an ecumenical matter"
