Punk and New Wave thread.

nice one, mate.
2 of my favourite bands who still nail it.

i'll be back in november.
manchester, chester, stoke, 3 nights in a row.

I've seen ToH, SoD, the Armoury Show but never Skids as I was too young. Just finished the Stuart Adamson biography, tough going for him.
theatre of hate were and still are incredibly powerful.

i didn't and still don't like spear of destiny because the name is stupid, haha, i never gave them a chance and simply refuse to listen to them because of it.

if you fancy meeting up for any of the 3 gigs i mentioned give me a shout, mate.

I will do. KB is a much misunderstood character. I honestly didn't like the name either. There is a lot of crossover from ToH/SoD in 1982 when the first SoD album is basically all ToH before it went mad with their mad manager and drummer being under the influence. Stan was a good pal of Mani Stone Roses, even though he was a red.

i was mad for southern death cult.
when they were announced as the support for the TOH westworld tour i nearly died and went to heaven.
i did the lot, with my mate helen from bacup = stage invaders!

First time I saw Cult was 1984, maybe they were Death Cult but was Billy on guitar, Nigel on drums. One year later they were on TOTP selling Sanctuarys. haha
